Maa shaa'Allaah. superb :)

Was it actually recently harvested or you guys "harvested" the wood from the hunters' old stock? :D

If it's the former, perhaps such quality wood is still coming out from the jungles of Ceylon occasionally?

I believe this was a recent harvest. Although there are still trees standing in Sri Lanka, the amount of wood being harvested across the board has decreased considerably since 3-4 months, when I last visited. Everyone looks like a fish without water here. They don't understand what hit them, and how the supply went down so quickly.

Even so, Sri Lanka has always been a universe unto itself when it comes to agarwood, with prices surpassing at times even the offices of the China Market's capos.

We let that wood 'sit' for a night, while we gaged demand, and sure enough it was gone the next day despite the astronomical price....

Sorry guys, I guess you won't be getting any this time around, and 'agarwood porn' is the best we could do.... :(

LOVELY… yeh many not get the true value of high quality sinking agarwood and how it is priced…
the fact that we been able to offer Sri Lankan sinkers at 3-4$ per grams doesn’t mean that ALL SL wood cost this much.
those were tiny size pieces ONLY suitable for heating fished out of hundreds of “suppliers”.
we also got some thick and heavy nuggets around and they run for 20 - 50 $ per gram depending on the size and shape…

That's beautiful. Where did you find it? Does it have a nice aroma?
The seller has one more similar to this, the pictures in the listing are of the two available, well, make that one available now ;)

The smell is very faint and more like wood, it is not the same species of Agarwoods that we have come to love for kodo, and oud oil:cool:

For Kodo, I got these tiny-cut resinated beauties by Shoyeido, Japan. 1 gram for $21 including shipping:confused: I bought the last two packs that the seller had (on etsy). I hope he gets more, they are very aromatic at room temperature.
