Issues With U.S Customs Holding Package

I apologize in advance if this isnt the proper place to add this thread, however, I was wondering if anyone ever had their package held hostage by U.S customs? How long did they hold your package before it reached you? Need some hope here lol. It sucks to know you have some precious stuff being held in a location not knowing if its being mishandled by customs or stored where the temperature isnt good for your oud.

I had a couple in holding for 2 weeks, arrived safely unopened.
Then I had a bag of Oud chips opened, inspected by US Customs, but then sealed again, arrived safely nothing missing.

So I guess I got lucky:)

Which outpost is it? Sf/bay area? I don't know what they are smoking there, but sadly it isn't oud (and thankfully too for those who ordered chips)

Sometimes tiny packages got lost in the shuffle. Open an inquiry through usps to get the ball moving again.

I had Couple Of Packages Held for 5 weeks with Canada Customs , I feel you bros , thing I am scared of the oil lying in a truck with temperature at 40 degrees could affect the scent profile , but all should pan out bros , InshaAllah it will be released , Had friend who retired from Customs advised if they held it and smelled it , they are probably keeping it there for 3 weeks to show every body the serious Poop & barnyard smell , Take care bros ,

It would be nice if everybody offered DHL express or similar express carrier, never a problem with them, tracking and if need be you can release the signature requirement from the receivers end. I've had other things shipped by Royal Mail or other carriers that get picked up by USPS once in the states and things can stay in ISC New York or elsewhere for weeks, but did eventually get packages unopened. Just a pain in the arse waiting not knowing what's going on, and customer service doesn't have updates beyond what you can see when you track it; but they do come.

Pearlito Bandito is exactly right. DHL is the Rolls Royce of shippers and rarely seems to have these issues. Not to advertise for them but I am expecting a package from TAHA that was shipped on the 25th and being delivered today. Yes that is one day service from Malaysia to California. Insane.

So far FEDEX to the US has been good, and super fast too. But @Taha warned me about sending wood to the US by FEDEX, because the guys at Anchorage customs (where all FEDEX parcels to the US has to pass through) knows agarwood, and without proper paperwork, it could be held there. For oils, so far so good. Taha suffered losses due to FEDEX a while back it seems.

Any of you guys had bad experience with FEDEX before?

I have to agree with @PEARL and @kesiro about DHL. It has been so far been the best service at such rocket speeds. I have never had a issue with DHL with the few dozens times I have ordered from them, even though i live in a gated community. The DHL driver somehow always gets in even though I don't have a gate code. 2 days from Jordan to Los Angles, California including customs.
I have noticed through EMS/USPS it always ends up getting held in customs for a few days and then releasing it. The few times it did get held up, the package was opened and one of the oils was opened also. It always happens through them. It never happened through DHL. Another few times, the USPS driver didn't even come to my door but rather left the we missed you card in the mailbox. I was very angry because they usually do that on a Friday or Saturday. I do get it though even though its a few days late. The (what ifs play a lot in my head during the waiting period)
Fedex I haven't had much experience with them but the few times my wife did, they knocked once and left contrary to DHL, I wasn't there but my neighbor told me the DHL guy was about to break your door down HaHaHa.
