Hello @Mohammad Sarwar,

I'm sorry to hear you've had that experience.

While I'm not asking you to publicly state the name of the re-seller, I trust you don't mind if people contact you privately to disclose the info?

In such a small community I feel it's important to forewarn others about such incidents and save them the bad experience, and the money...

Thanks for sharing,

I think I should add that the seller in question is not a well-known one. Their eBay store has a good feedback rating so I myself wouldn't view them as a fake seller but perhaps one who sells some ouds which possibly might not actually be as good as claimed. There's plenty of them on Ebay, with some claiming that their oils are as good as this persons or that.

I did message Mohammad regarding this and this is what I said:

Looking at his feedback it's quite positive but doesn't look like he actually sells much oud on eBay. Sadly in the oud market it is 'buyer beware' and often if something looks to good to be true it usually is. That's why it's best to sample first rather than believe sales patter on Ebay. I only bought one very poor 3g l bottle of oud and that was from someone with what seemed like a pretty good reputation, it was a lesson learnt for me and perhaps you should also put this down to experience.

That's not to say it's right of course, it's not and I would be angry too.

Thanks sidi was a huge learning curve with the oudh and a big life lesson. He has several thousands pounds of mine which he is refusing to refund as well as declining invitation to attend oudfest and stand by his products.

He seems to be seeking more honeys...

The main cambodi oil in question was seen by Ensar himself and dismissed as utter rubbish pure aroma chemicals.... other rubbish i bought from him such as other x4 cambodis x4 thai... meroke all have similar profile to the mixing chemicals.... so was duped as complete newbie... but very apparent now after seeing genuine quality oils and months of comparisons

Wow, I didn't realise there was that much money involved, my bad purchase pales in comparison.
