EO Sultan Leather attar. I've never swiped this oil first thing in the AM and so I haven't really gauged its endurance until today. Going on 11 hours now and still very present with gentle strokes of rose and vanilla in the late, late stages. The leather and tobacco are both dialed back at this point. Late in the evening, this attar just seems to fit the mood perfectly. Feet up, dram of scotch with a book in hand. It really doesn't get any better than this. Well done, EO team.

Having an evening Sinensis doubleheader (simultaneous) woohoo!
EO Hainan 2005: I enjoy the light hay, horse saddle/ leather aspect and the rounded refined presence.
IO Hainan Imperiale 2016: A lively and bold oil with wafts of peanut, mild herbs and spices including a hint of cinnamon.
The peanut note is a turn off for me. Can’t get past them. Shame. Cause there is so k uh to like this oil.

And if you go back to hainan 05 again, see if you can pick up the musk and kinam notes. A feral quality is the manifestation of the former and a bitter mind buzz “what’s that awesomeness” is how the later plays.

SOTD: EO Chuguko Senkoh. Aquilaria Sinensis. Focused and robust oud marrow scent profile here with light hay and medicinal notes. A calm and soothing oil. Just beginning the ride with it today. This one will not leave you wondering "where's the oud." Lol.
To be a stricler, likey more agalocha than sinesis but no doubt of the presence of the chinese. Chugoku is a remarkable oil and a hugely important oil milestone. The birth of the genre of gent 3 and senkoh oils.

Minute swipe on upper lips so I can take in the vapors before nap. It worked like a charm. A normal 1-1.5 hour nap turned into 3! Lucid vivid dreams. Best part? The scent strength was as potent as when I had applied few hours or so earlier. Longevity here is remarkable. Not nha Trang Ltd incredible but none the less terrific.

Now is oud Ahmad on one wrist and kannan koh on the other. I gotta go. Can’t be bothered to type. The gentle, deep,base-heavy, totally abscent of any top note fumes are calling. Base yanked to the top. TBC...

Since you mentioned Agolacha is there is hint of barn? Or it's just vapors of Hindi Chips with Sinensis chips burning?

Rasoul, how does Assamugo Senkoh comepare? We’re they in the same quality league with similar price point? What is the highest quality Sinensis from EO that you’ve heard about? Just wondering.

Cut from same cloth. Assamugo is more Hindi while chugoku shows good bit of the chinese character.

Hailam Ltd and malek al ceeni qualitatively speaking, the highest quality oil I have tried but Yunnan exclusive is perhaps the top chinese for me

Overall hainan 05 and China saying probably win it for the insane qpr they offer.

41 years of commuting to my job at Kennedy Space Center. This was my favorite time of year to make the drive. The cool spring mornings and air verdant and rich with orange blossoms from the many Indian River citrus groves pouring in open windows. Unfortunately now the groves are all gone. Citrus greening, canker, neglect and the pressure of land values for development have completely taken their toll... Sad. These days... I am so humbly grateful to be so fortunate to breathe deeply of sacred ouds as I make my 20 mile commute.
