SOTD: EO Royal Guallam. Outstanding Vietnamese Sinensis oil. Smooth and rich, bitter-sweet mild spice with medicinal hints. A slight tickle of the nostrils upon first whiff. Helping point me to kinamic land. No wondering where the oud is here! Lol.
I'd like to add that almost 6 hours later although now quite weak, I could still detect the honeyed light spice. Not many of my oils will go this distance.
Terrific oil. I love the mostly green and touch of red in RG. Nha trang is devoid of any green and is all black and red with the dial cranked up at least 3-4 turns.
I too went big tonight post a looooong few hours incense making session.
Number 1 oil of all time: kyara Ltd 2.0. And my biggest swipe of it to date.
Game over oil. Try for as long as you can to stay clear of it. It too me months and months to be able to find joy in sub $700 oils.
Nha Trang is already many fold overs royal guallam and right there as the no 1 spot, yet the complexity of kyara Ltd is beguiling; thnx to all the wood studies, that cohesive, United yet disernable individual notes of hainan, red cambodi and Vietnam are a joy to study in this oil.
Nha Trang is rather linear in most beautiful minimalistic way. The scent is profound.
Kyara Ltd shape shifts somewhat and with time different facets of kyara/kinam and different origins come out.
