Agarwood Assam - Crassna Intense (sold out now)

A special oil ... dont be fooled by the name Crassna ... it is far far from being a typical Thai Oud....

The oudiness and Musk note is ever present on the top, heart and in the dry down.... to top that in the opening my nose picks up mint with some tamarind/cola style note which I've picked up only in Taha's Royal Jerai(Malaysian Oud) ... the dry down is really like burning a resinous piece of Agarwood on charcoal... and this dry down stays with you for hours (6-8hours in Mumbai heat) ...

A big regret I didnt order a full bottle basically got fooled by the name and expected it to be fruity/sweet Thai Oud.. at less than $80 per ml this was a stupid call me :(

I was wearing two modest swipes of Sultan Salahuddin to a contemplative prayer gathering today. It had been a while since I applied it so by then I could only really smell it as a skin scent. A woman walked into that space and asked “What is that beautiful smell?” I suggested it may be another woman there who had obviously recently applied (a fairly pleasant) perfume. She went up to her and sniffed. “No. That’s not it.” I offered her the back of my hand. “That’s it! It smells like fresh lemons and something like pine trees. I could smell it the moment I walked in. It’s beautiful!”
Moral to the story... your Oud smells even better than you realise.

Eid Mubarak to everyone!

Oud of the day:
Kumathra V2, for the hot desert I'm in.

It works great with the heat, the sweet notes of pear and vanilla are pleasant this evening. Oud really is a nice treat to enjoy, especially when far away from home and alone, although smelling Oud is making me homesick, but hey, at least it smells like I'm at home. :D
