Yes, all of this. For me, TW95 is still maybe my favorite oil to go back to again and again over the last couple years. But Kannan Koh and Oud Ahmad are just in a class by themselves. I guess they’d sort of be the Beatles, where I know they’re the best ever at what they did, but in different...

^ Interesting that was your last post because I just came here to talk Tigerwood Royale, my SOTN. I think we take this oil for granted, because it’s been on the site forever and seems like it will be there forever even though I know it won’t, and it’s ridiculously well priced. But this one is...

Encens Royale 85 last night. Has been and remains one of my favorites. Just a wash of calm and good feels over me any time I swipe it, and keeps on giving for many hours.

You must choose one bottle of Oud for the rest of your life...

Can’t argue with that. One of my favorites. Beautiful and deep oil with some unique top note Black pepper pop that keeps you coming back for more.

You must choose one bottle of Oud for the rest of your life...

Let’s say you’re in a weird predicament. You get one botte only, and you much choose wisely because you’ll never smell another oil again. What’s your choice? Really tough one for me...and I know full well the answer could be different one year from now. I think I’d hold my Hainan 05...

Tonight my rotation brought me back to one of the oils closest to my heart, Hainan ‘05. Yes, I actually have a carefully crafted rotation list on my phone to keep me from using any oils more quickly than I want to, and also keep the similar profile/region oils a little separated in my use...

JAK again. I can’t tell you how cool it is to be able to chat about oud with you. At the risk of being too overtly flattering, it’s like an art collector being able to ask Picasso what the Weeping Woman was weeping about.

Jazak Allah Khair for the context, Sidi. Now since I have your ear let me bother you for one more LOL. There were two Hainan and one Yunnan offering in the recent batch of Oriscent Legends. Gun to your head, don’t think about it, just the first answer from your heart, what’s your favorite of...

This is the No. 1 you’re referring to, right? How would you say you were able to supersede Kinam Rouge which is in its own right a nearly perfect Vietnamese oil? Or is it a totally different approach?

Similar yes, although Chugoku was perfectly balanced, to the point that some nights I put it on and smell the Chinese side of it more prominently, other times the Hindi personality steps slightly in the foreground. Mostafa is slightly more on the Hindi animalistic side of things.

Man I tell you what....I’ve never been a huge Hindi fan but that’s a deep deep oil, especially at the price point. My next order will have some more of that in it for sure. I love Chugoku Senkoh too. It was a real stroke of genius to combine Chinese and Indian oil. They complement each other...

I have to eat my words on Nha Trang LTD after tonight’s experience with it. As I’ve said before, my nose isn’t reliable and there are times I don’t smell well at all, I suspect related to low level system toxicity that I’m always trying to stay a step ahead of....but tonight after those...
