    Glad to be back! :D

So, it seems I am not actually allergic to sandalwood or oudh. *Roar of happiness, followed by angry neighbours* Instead, my skin tends to get clogged if I apply frequently without having scrubbed myself (as my skin gets really oily very quickly). :D :D :D Just ordered a sample Sandalwood...

How do you guys burn frankincense?

a5m, I'm thinking the quality of Brian's and royalhojari.com should be the same, as they both have the bluish tint in light found only in the sultan's grade? :)

How do you guys burn frankincense?

royalhojari.com Bluish tinted grade, all edible quality (no bits of wood or impurity, which make it taste foul-sour rank wood flavour instead of fairly neutral balsamy lemon), of the kind used by the Sultan of Oman. 240 for a pound, and ABSOLUTELY worth EVERY penny. :)

Idea of holding a west coast Oudfest

I though Ensar was the Yoda? Also, do we have enough people for one in Toronto? Living in Canada is so restrictive, everything is in the south... :(

How do you guys burn frankincense?

But I find that high quality green frankincense is too subtle for charcoal, the subtleties get lost in smoke above any temperature above, at a guess, 60 C or so, which is only found in the electric adjustable burners. :)

    Allergy to Oudh oils

Yup, but I apply scents for perfume purposes on a spot where I can also catch whiffs. Not feasible of only your hands, wrist area and feet are safe. :( Thanks anyway.

    Allergy to Oudh oils

@Taha:How bad is there reaction though? I get a very red, rather large area that resembles hives without the bumps and extremely dark degree of colour to it. Takes 3 days to fade, and itches rather badly. Also, did a prick test on myself, same result, so I'm not sure if it is just densitivity...

    Allergy to Oudh oils

Edit- After conducting a make-shift skin test at home on on non-sensitive spots, it turns out I am actually allergic to oud itself. :( Other essential oils and fragrances such as musk or ambergris are fine, only oud does it. Since I cannot stand not wearing the beauty of an oil straight on the...

    Allergy to Oudh oils

Moving past my oil Blietzkrieg, anybody have any idea of why the rash, in my instance, shows up only during the drydown phase? It is not fungus, since it just happened with previously unapplied oud of high quality from a different dealer, and it started in summer when the microscopic haze of...
