I wore a squirt of EO2 with a swipe of Hainan 05 and I assume the effect would have been just as resonating. All should try!

Santal Sultan Privee on a rainy Vancouver day. This oil is a weather machine. Turning even the dampest environment into one of radiance. The tiniest swipe working as if one took a dive into a pool of oil. :) Brilliant.

Aroke Roshi. Somebody please convince me this isn't Borneo... After the somewhat unpleasant vegetative scent descends into the ether, I get maroke, maroke, maroke. But the drydown is Borneo. No question.. So please, convince me otherwise.

I was sniffing this and that of my Hindi oils and the one which struck me the most was EO Assam Wilde. Was smelling the best it ever had. So much so that I brought it as an accompaniment with Aroke Roshi for the west coast boys to revisit. SO GOOD!

Home made pizza in oven and Kyukyodoh Shorankoh burning nearby. Is like an episode of the Twilight Zone. As though a pizzeria opened during the Edo period. =)

Today I slept in a bit and skipped the usual burning of wood or incense and had to pack up quick and head off to work. The the stead of my usual habit, I hit two birds with one stone; with Sultan Mustafa. Great way to close out the week.

EO Encens Royale 1985 today. Boss oil. Literally. This oil commands respect. The big daddy of the oud world. I should mention that I just put this one on at random. "Haven't worn this in awhile...", sort of moment. Turned out it fit very well in what should have been a significantly stressful...

EO Khmer Xtreme. Such profound and alluring animalic notes. I'm not sure whether the people around me agree, but my nose doesn't care. A whirlwind of various leather/tannery notes. Biker jacket without the jacket! Grand Slam.

What's your take on it? I've worn it once and recalled enjoying it. Care to refresh my memory? =)

    What's on your burner today?

EO Ayoub on wrist Kyukyodo Kunshikoh burning in office. EO Nhatrang Anthole in living room. I feel as though I could walk around in circles of my home and never get bored. Scent overload.

    Morning Oud with Sheikh Ehab

"Each oil is unique and is like meeting a new person" -Ensar The best analogy for oud. Ever. It was interested to hear/see Ehab exhibit the same behavior I did after sniffing Nha Trang LTD. Words fumbling over words... This oil is not of this dimension.
