Archipelago 2008

Co-extraction of West Papuan, Maroke and Kalimantan raw materials to create our hallmark Indonesian scent: Archipelago.

What did we do different to other Archies? The raw materials were co-distilled rather than blended after distillation, and the oil was crafted using the same techniques we developed for our Port Moresby oil.

The result is an ultra ethereal oud frag that instead of green (as in the case of Moresby) smells dark and blackish. But not in any burnt or unpleasant sense. It is ultra cool and refreshing, to you and yourself, and those around you too. The drydown is reminiscent of the last Sultan Murad. Loud and clear on my skin twelve hours after application.

How is this oil different to other offerings on the market? For one, it's been aged almost seven years. The raw materials that went into making Archie 2008 are very hard to come by in this day and age, and if they do they won't be from trees this old, with this degree of resination. A similar distillation conducted today would run no less than $1,500 a bottle.

So you can understand this is a gift of love we're giving you, rather than anything that requires selling?

I highly doubt this will be around longer than a matter of days, so waiting is not recommended.
