Best Ambergris comparison

Wanted to ask the more experienced which Ambergris they know and which they consider the best.

Taha could you tell us more about the Ambergris from Bruce and is it the same one Douglas is selling and how are they compared to Qurashis Amebrgris?

I have Bruce's ambergris and it is a 3 percent tincture. It is excellent particularly as a fixative with another scent like oud or basically anything. On its own the smell is animalic like civet but with overtones of salt water and sea life. The scent does not project or even last very long by itself but when i mix it with oud or some of my own natural perfumes it will take the other scent into the fourth dimension. First of all, the scent will open up much more quickly and each note will become perfectly clear in perfect harmony...assuming you have a harmonious scent, lol. Secondly, this open state will last for a really long time. You will not need extra swipes to get back to the spot of harmony, it is the gift that keeps giving.

I knew a woman years ago who had a ball of ambergris, it was extremely old and had a sweetness like vintage perfumes get after sitting in the bottle for years. The tincture does not have that vintage lushness but it really works amazingly in tandem with other scents.

The only other ambergris I would consider trying is Profumo's at Abdes Salaam Attars. He has sent me amazing animalics though his tincture is only 1 percent but I will try it someday.

I have an ambergris attar which I use in my parfums; a 10% infusion in sandalwood. It's an excellent stand-alone perfume, as well as a superb fixative.
