Also A class website (one of the best bloggers in oud), seamless transaction, shipment, communication (mind you with him being a one-man show and also out in the jungle and on the road a lot, poor guy needs some time and patience from our end).

Harita:
as Taha puts it: exhilarating. and i have to agree wholeheartedly. Outward. Essence of green but in a polite fashion. Scent of Light green colour not deep dark green. Subtle camphoric notes, delicate spearmint, open airy tropical jungle notes with subtle blossoms and fruits (green mango, barely ripe guava) lurking in the background.
Once the oil settles, the green softens while it remains, a more warming baking spices emerge. Finish is delicate mon-koh type woody scent with green apple and guava poking out here and there.
A day scent and one for spring summer and early fall imho.

Final notes: summer in a bottle. A scent so lovely for day time wear. Energizing, uplifting and has me giddy up. Very nicely done Taha. I have to say is very classic textbook Sri Lanka based on my research but also comparing to imperial Oud's sri pada, EO Suriranka Senkoh and ASO walla patta chips.

most similar oils to Harita in my humble opinion are: EO jing shen lu and IO SP

Ambrosia:
Taha calls it engaging. i can see that. but perhaps more delicuos to me. Balance of inward/outward. If this oil’s personality could be described by a colour it would be caramel/burgundy. Sweet woody resin deliciousness. Slight vanilla, maple syrup on attack, mildly woody, very incensy. After some time the oil settles with geosmin like notes, clean forest floor, Closest oil to japanese minimalist agarwood incense. Touch of sour fruit note that I get from sumatra woods and oils keeps the oil from becoming too cloying and sweet. Very nice.

most similar oil to Ambrosia in my humble opinion is ASO Bustan.

Kalyani:
Balance of inward/outward. If this oil’s character was best described with a colour, it would be deep red verging on garnet. Oh my. Those sticky dried red fruits (sour cherry?), wine soaked mature tobacco leaves, spiced pipe tobacco, clean almost unused saddle leather and warm xmas spices. After the oil settles, red radiates thru before the wood notes linger while the dried fruits, spices and tobacco poke out here and there.

No animal. No florals. No bitter. All about fruit, spice and delicate fermented notes (not sour but more umami richness)

Final impressions: delicious. medium+ complexity in terms of both development (vertical) and horizontal (at same giving time). I love it. i need a proper size vial.

most similar oil to Kalyani in my humble opinion is EO kinam rouge

syed’s succor:
I cant do this one. I keep trying but getting passed the aggressive first bite is a bit much for me at this time. I am fairly sure that after an hour on the skin the notes will be mellower and perhaps quite enjoyable even to my nose, but I don't think I can handle the first hour before I get there.

most similar oil to SS in my humble opinion is EO Xian liao Ling and oud emerald. neither of which i like at this stage of my oud appreciation.

note: i learned that both AA's SS and EO emerald are made from filaria wood. so that makes sense why i don't love it. and XLL is Maroke which based on my understanding so far, would be lets call it closer to filaria and papau green oils than to lets say Sri Lanka, Thai, Borneo, Chinese oils...

thats it thats all for now folks. i stoked to be receiving new oils from AA and to share my impressions in due time.

peace and love to all and sincere appreciation and homage to the brave amongst us who trek the jungles and hold strong morals and ethics in their pursuit.

Such beautiful reviews for doubtless equally stunning oils. Thank you, Rasoul
