Oh man this is the hardest list ever! The only thing that makes it possible is for me to remember it is "5 current favorites" rather than "5 favorites of all time" - so I'll just choose from the recently acquired oils I've been sampling:

Kyara LTD v.2
Sultan Ahmet
Oud Ahmad
Brunei Kinam
Mahabali

Good morning Dr kesiro. I was wondering what is Oud Hud?
Aha my friend! Thought you might inquire about that one. It is a Hindi precursor to Aku Akira I am told. I sampled Aku Akira (hat tip: B-dog-hanny) and loved it. Was disappointed it was completely sold out BUT....
Oud Hud was supposed to be its grandfather or something. Anyway, it is nothing short of a masterpiece. Takes what I loved about Aku Akira and elevates it to new levels. I LOVE IT!!!

Let me add: it is a powerful 'traditional' Hindi profile but with immense refinement and depth. So much so that it blurs the line between the barn and non-barn for me in a way. Has tons of barn but not fecal or funky. My suspicion is that the wood it was distilled from was very high grade.

If there was a Sultan series Hindi Oil it would be Oud Hud IMO. The most modern, traditional Hindi I've smelled(if that makes sense), along with Oud Shuayb. Oud Hud has similar dark, cool, highly resinous sensation as Sultan Sufyan, it's the Hindi version of SS replete with everything we love in Hindi oils.

Thank you Akhi for sharing this! How would you rate it with Oud Nuh and the Royal Imphal?

Oud oils Hud, Nuh and Imphal are three distinct Hindi oils. Royal Imphal is from Manipur, Oud Nuh is from Meghalaya and IIRC Oud Hud is from Karbi Anglong, the original locale of the feedstock likely has something to do with scent profile and other factors that account for their differences could be distillation parameters, design, materials, etc. Anyway, Oud Nuh is red, like taking ancient Koh Kong feedstock to the heart of Assam to be traditionally distilled; IMO it's also the most "Arabian". Royal Imphal has indolic barn opening followed by more "orange" type notes, dried mango, apricot, etc. They're all beautiful oils, Oud Nuh is my favorite with the biggest projection and I think Royal Imphal is the prettiest with some Yoshi type notes accompanying the barn.
