Hindi Quademe - A smooth Indian

#1
I recently got a package from Agar Aura with lots of samples of different ouds.
The one that really piqued my interest was Hindi Quademe, a Manipour distillation from 2006.

I'm not well versed in Hindis (or even oud in general) but I thought this was "the bomb".
Very smooth, animalic but not quite fecal, very warm with spices, hay and bitter woods.
There was not any notes in it that I found offensive, the oil is just very well rounded, but without being flat.
I found it very relaxing, and "centering" for the mind.

Definitely one of my most favorite ouds I've ever tried.
Maybe Hindi ouds will be a new obsession ;)

I've been curious about this Oud too. It's a Manipour distillation, and I've never tried Oud from Manipour. I'm curious about the raw materials that went into it and the distillation technique. Have you ever smelled some of Ensar's Indian oils, Kakao? If so, could you make a comparison?

I would send Taha an email and ask about the raw materials and distillation technique.
I do know Taha hasn't distilled this oil himself, but he bought it from another distiller.

The only Hindi from Ensar I've tried is Assam Organic (and only a sample) and I hated it at first as it was my first Hindi.
I now really like Assam Organic, and will probably buy a bottle.
Assam Organic is more bright and slightly sharp, in contrast to the dark, smooth and more subdued Quademe.
The thing they have in common is the leather, woods, hay and earth and even then those notes are different in each oil.

I'm going to order Oud Yunus soon, and I'm very excited to try it, it will be my first LTD from Ensar!

Taha was also so kind to send me a sample of Hindi Qademe (Thanks again, Taha!).
I was pleasantly surprised by Qademe; it is a very smooth and slightly sweet oil. It shares a lot of notes with Ensar´s Encens Imperial -- only that, to my nose, it is slightly sweeter than the EI.
Yesterday I have only applied a small amount but I will soon compare it to Encens Imperial side-by-side, and share my thoughts with you again.

I tried Hindi Qademe and loved it too! A very good oil.
Highly recommend. Can't wait to try Royal Assam

I also recently tried feelouds Assam Blood which I really enjoyed also!
Plus the Al Mouhit Al Azraq oud oil a very herbal fresh & actually aquatic blue oil, this is a great spring/summer oil. Gets better as you wear it.
