Kyara de Kalbar

#1
I've just received an email from Thomas that the offer for the Kyara de Kalbar ends tomorrow however, there appears to be little or no information on the scent profile, notes etc and no reviews at all!

Has anyone tried this oil yet? How does it compare with Ensar's other Borneo offerings? Any thoughts anyone? Ensar/Thomas perhaps you could tell us more?

Thanks

I have tried it and it is unlike any other Oud I have ever smelt. Very powdery, powerful... I wish I had my bottle here but I took it to the UK in April. Think of the Encens Khmer, remove the sweet Cambodian notes, multiply the powder and sheer softness by 10 and you sort of have an idea of what the Kyara de Kalbar is about.

So who was lucky enough to take advantage of the Kyara de Kalbar offer? What are your impressions?

Sorry Abdullah... I got your PM and intended to reply, but have been very busy of late so did not get around to replying. As for whether I would buy either 6ml of the Kalbar 3000 or 3ml of the Kyara de Kalbar, I am afraid you are asking the wrong person as I would - and have - buy both! It really depends on your preference. My thought process would run something like this... If I buy 3ml of the Kyara de Kalbar, then I could go for the Kalbar 3000 at a later date and it would not seem so unattainable due to the relatively lower price compared to the Kyara de Kalbar. Knowing me, that later date would come quite fast! As long as there is enough Kalbar 3000 left that you can order it at a later date, I would get the Kyara de Kalbar.

However, if, unlike me, you are sane and do not break into a cold sweat with an accelerating heart rate when thinking and reading about Oud and you like to wear an everyday Oud that will last for a while, then I would recommend the Kalbar 3000. The Kyara de Kalbar is a very unique and strong powdery Oud which might be better utilised in a blend like the Encens Khmer.
