Let's talk Oud: a detailed discourse on the various aspects of this substance we love

The funniest part is that it ended up smelling Sri Lankan, because most of my oils are...so I haven't really come closer to understanding true 'oudiness'.

But I have to say it smells incredible. The six Sri Lankans are clearly evident in the top and heart, they go really well with the three Marokes; then Tigerwood 95 for the liqeur, Ayu for some sparkle and zest, and the best part was how Assam Organic 07 and Chugoku Senkoh gave it serious depth and somehow unified the whole blend.

The final result smells like New Guinea and Sri Lanka from the bottle, with the Maroke emerging more in the drydown and really wonderful Lankan fruity and oceanic notes about twenty minutes in which continue all the way into the drydown. Strangely the Hindis can only be felt as a presence, which makes me think they are the supreme 'fixative'.
Excellent experiment brother. I always wondered why are people not blending oils ? Try mixing cambodi with hindi. Try mixing only two different oils. Leave them for 3 weeks. You have a totally new oud oil. It's like discovering a new species ;-). Try mixing a drop or two of Ruh khush to thai plantation oil. Try sandal with old fine hindis.

Warning: You ll find some amazing things during these exercises. Be prepared to shock yourself :)

Hey Taha! Dude, hearing stuff like this is personally sickening. I think the act of accusing someone of some form of impropriety, especially with zero proof, and then forcing that accused to prove they are innocent is up there in the dastardly category. The truly funny thing is that I HIGHLY doubt that only a minuscule number of 'vendors', inclusive of you and Ensar, could every verify the provenance of the wood they are using. I am with out brother @PEARL. Your word is all you need. Do not divulge anything that could jeopardize your work or proprietary information.
