Making Mabsoos and Muattar

#1
I am new to the Forum, so please forgive my ignorance. Do oud experts find mabsoos and muattar offensive? If not, can someone explain how I could make mabsoos and muattar? I searched existing threads and found very little information. Given how expensive the best agar chips are, I thought maybe I could go with a slightly lower grade chip and mix pure essential oils to find the scent I want. Please inform me if this is a terrible idea. Thanks in advance.

Abubakr_al-misky from Aluwwah.com has experience and deft hands in mixing Incense. I am not sure if he checks the Forum but maybe he can share some of his experience here or you can reach him on his web site. Meanwhile I found this video on YouTube, it shows Emirate women mixing and making Mabsoos. Sorry it is in Arabic but what I found interesting is that the narrator mentions that they sometimes mix sugar in the mix to make the ingredients hold together but the woman in Video doesn't do that because it creates a lot of smoke when burned. Also towards the end of the video you see her mixing a powder that the narrator says is a powdered Musk; I am not sue if that is animalic or vegan musk. Another interesting aspect of the video is that it shows that the House wives are the ones that are expert in making those home made Bakhoor and Incense. A craft that is disappearing or has already disappeared from many countries in the Arab world. Only in Traditional society you still have the Bakhoor made at home according to secretly held recopies.
