On a more serious note, it is positively fascinating to me how far-distant cultures such as the Arabs and Japanese, who seemingly have nothing germane to each other (prima facie), have appropriated a totally foreign raw material and have so deeply and intricately integrated it in to their cultures, identity, traditions! That speaks to the transformative nature of Agarwood. Deeply moving sutff.

Addendum: I do not mean to use the word "appropriate" in the modern, controversial sense :)
Post Scriptum: Come to think of it, we even use the transliterated Arabic "Oud" in English!

Please forgive my pretentious Latin. Couldn't help myself this morning.

Great observation and an even greater homage you paid them. It is truly fascinating. Like the brits with wine and tea.

Hi and as-salamu alaykum to all of our friends and viewers of Morning Oud,
Ehab here. Just wanted to connect with all of you. I'm so happy and fortunate to be able to experience the world of natural oils and aromas with you! As you probably know from our videos, i'm new to this so would like to reach out for your comments and advice or to keep our friendship going outside of the morning Oud show.

Look forward to hearing from you!
Take care and don't forget to begin your day with a swipe of nature!

Seems like one animalic ingredient missing was Castoreum / Beaver Castor :p..
Perhaps try some from Canadian Beavers!
Not sure if linking is permitted, but my buddy Dan has some available: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/640441236/castoreum-castor-grade-1-aged-beaver?
He also has Skunk, Hyraceum, Muskrat & Civet paste available too..in case any other forum members wanted to try.:)
Amazing how aging and oxidizing civet paste completely turns it into something actually pretty interesting....

Hey Arsalan, we actually covered castoreum in that same session. Not sure why the editors thought best to leave it out. Perhaps they’ll release it as a separate episode down the line....
