It’s scary and sad.

The risks of putting poisonous chemicals on our skin and inhaling it. In wood from tampering is much much easier to see. Sometime visually othertimes the nose confirms. But with oil it can get mixed in. Good bad great and ugly all together. No longer wild is wild and plantation plantation. Eye opening video. I know what I’ll be doing: backstock on old oils and stay away from popular and famous areas.

I want to "unlike" your comment because the thought of that is revolting.
Who is going to be able to verify this about their oils with certainty now?
Brewing from old-stock wood in reserve?
If one is just cruising by and picking up pre-distills to flip, or not having absolute certainly about the farmers/hunters and their reliability, what shall we do?
Any comments welcome to this query; vendors, re-sellers, collectors: speak-up.

Thank God we have vendors with reputations on the line. So long as their sources and their noses are tip-top, I'm confident in my future purchases.

I am definitely enjoying all this YT content being put out by distillers. From the great new series between Ensar and Ehab to the eye-opening (sometimes scary lol) content provided by Taha, we are really getting really spoiled! Great time to be an Oud nerd (minus the wild wood thing). I am automatically suspicious of oils that are “acquired” by vendors for the reasons mentioned above. That’s not to say they’re not legit...it just makes you a bit worried. The best you can do is stick with folks that have a “decent” reputation and hope for the best. I’ve heard of the most well-known wood dealers getting burned...you can’t check every piece I guess.
