It was the wife's birthday yesterday so I treated her to a sinking-grade, all-you-can sniff buffet of Brunei Kinam. After a few inhalations we were grinning like fools :D

This wood reminds me of Kannan Koh quite a bit.
Mashallah! Mubarak to your family Inshallah Sidi! What better way to enjoy a happy occasion with some of the best stuff available from the one who brings us some of the best oils/woods available on the planet!

Well, I had to treat myself to more Brunei Kinam today. I've grown so fond of this scent over the years, I don't think I can make sense of my evenings without it. The wife is also quite into this one.

After 'heating' the life out of the BK slithers, I'm now 'listening' very intimately to a few Walla Patta incense grade chips of not the best quality visually, but quite pleasing aromatically. Green frangipani sieved through seaweed algae microscopic marine life, under the mimosa trees of my childhood....

There is nothing that recharges me like a long burning session. Some lovely Walla Patta. Anyone ever get any warm banana notes out of Walla Patta?

Yes sir , I get a guava- coconut-banana kinda of scent , kinda of a tropical kinda a vibe, and marmalade kinda of , I don't burn the Sri Lanka wood that often, but I really love the tropical nuances , this might sound weird but sometimes I turn on the baby bottle warmer that bubbles hot water in my office-perfume room gets humid with hot water , and then I burn the wood in the room in high humidity, I noticed certain more detectable nuances and the body feels more lethargic in a Good way , and the oud scent lingers for weeks. ( I would be in Bangladesh for 3 months come back home and walk in the office-perfume room and smells like Aggarwood , the humidity side gets those nuances in the air for months ) , ya man love the Wala pata , I saw your pieces on Etsy , looks amazing and juicy , MashaAllah.☕️☕️☕️

That method does not sound weird at all! I keep the bath running on hot water till it's all steamy. I keep the door open and allow the steam to go through out the house before burning Oud. The scent lasts for weeks on end. Even when fumigating my jackets, I use a spray bottle and spray water all over them to get them lightly damp, and then burn Oud and allow the smoke to go through the fabrics. There's nothing like walking outside and having a breeze of air hit you, resulting in the Oud scent to bounce out of the fabric and into your nose. :D

Amazing Aki , you made me smile like we share the same birthday dude , reason you do the same thing , but dampening the clothes and hitting the gentle Aggar smoke on the daily clothes sounds fascinating, buddy father hits the smoke in his closet were he has his Taylor made suits and Jalabis ,when you hug him you don't want to let go he smells nice , but he uses frankincense also cause there is times he smelled like he came out of a harvest of resin in Oman , ( love the frankincense but when burning it creates so much smoke that the native Indians might think I am sending a signal , just joking , have to crack the doors open , my African friends in my hood know when I am home cause they say it stinks the whole neighbourhood in a good way , minus the dry fish smell in the air , lol ) InshaAllah will have to use the spary technique , I do use my own rose water mix with certain florals and a touch of Oud and spray the jacket now and then , brother in Brooklyn showed me that , JazakaAllah Aki for making me smile showing me that new technique, little dude crying , might have to dodge a projectile poop when changing the diaper, barnyard baby in a good way! :) ( there goes my sleep for tonight ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️)
