I needed a wallet.
My old one, bought from Tooting market for £35 all those years ago had finally given up on life and fallen apart.
So, there I am, on teh interwebs, googling for something of supreme quality that will last a lifetime and I see the saddleback leather bifold.
In a heartbeat I decide on the chestnut because I have always adored that colour in leather goods. I then on an entirely predictable whim swiped a tiny amount of FO OST and DH.
Then as if for the first time really appreciated the primal beauty of the natural leather. It's imperfections and relatively drab colouring suddenly became beautiful to me through the lenses of the delicious funk / barn of these two Ouds.
This was no subtle thing, this was the white and gold dress shifting into the blue and black in the space of three seconds.
Has anyone else's perception or aesthetic dramatically made a sea-change because of Oud?
