Oud & Travel

My best wishes to all for a blessed 2018, and happy holidays!

I am travelling (going home to France) for the holidays and have been musing about taking some Oud with me. The thought of going 2.5 weeks without Oud is unbearable and morally bankrupt :p

Question: Have you all traveled internationally with a bottle or two? It requires no effort nor stretch of the imagination to foresee TSA causing problems upon casting their eyes on a dark, viscous substance.

Perhaps it would be wise to take but a few sample vials instead.
Any thoughts or past experiences to share?

Kind regards,
Philip

You can legally travel with up to 500 ml of carry-on liquids, so long as they're split up in containers no larger than 100 ml each, and all of them fit in a 500 ml Ziploc bag. So the short answer is, you can take as many 3 ml bottles with you as you like. They can't say a thing. Put them in a Ziploc bag (usually they provide them at the check-in lines anyway) and you're all set. Safe travels, mon frère, and I hope you'll report with more stories from the alter ego of Guy de Maupassant when you're in France. ;)

Ah, fantastic. That's reassuring coming from someone who undoubtedly travels with Oud. I suppose the only thing left will be deciding which bottles to take :eek:
Thank you ;)

Precisely, @Oudamberlove ! It's like you read my mind. One out of the three will be Assam Organic - it is just sooo satisfying; really hits the spot.
My second one will have to be ultra refined and stately as I have booked The Ritz in London for Christmas Afternoon Tea. Still haven't decided TR vs. OS90. For now, all I know is that I need to remember to stick my pinky out whilst enjoying my tea :D:p

Oud and fine tea is a wonderful, wonderful combination.

I would match Earl Grey with something blue-green, Blue Malau springs to mind as an example. If you are having Lapsang go with incense heavy like Aroha Kyaku or if it's an aged pu'er..... hmmm.... Sultan Series or China Sayang?

Now my mouth is watering.
