I have the Salman and don't like it.

Its very strong and overpowering. Very indiany in its profile.

others may disagree

I bought this Mukhallat a long time ago, and liked it at the time. It basically consists of henna, rose, amber, musk, and some Cambodian Oud. It is not similar to Al-Arabiya. Al-Arabiya is spice and tobacco, and Salman is much sweeter, more floral, and also damp. Very different profiles. For the price, its an unbeatable deal. But I question the purity of the ingredients. There is musk in it, but we all know it can't possibly be deer musk, and it doesn't even smell like true musk. It has a bit of a harshness to it. I don't tend to wear it much because I can smell the chemical edge in it. But it is mostly pure, I don't want to give the impression that it smells anything close to a conventionally synthetic blend, because it doesn't. I think you will dig it if you buy it. At $30, you don't have anything to lose! It does have a nice rosiness to it that I like quite a bit, and the henna is nice too.

Can't say, as I've never tried other "musks" on the market. To me it smells darker in character, but I also know that "white musk" can refer to all synthetic musk, so hard for me to say. But you could always email the guys at Oudimentary and ask them what kind of musk they used. If you don't mind a synthetic musk, then you won't have any issues here, it's not all that strong in any case.
