Project tropical island jungle:

Kinamantan: for its vaporous dusty and high pitched note

Abdus selam: for its quiet, inner peace, brown dark green blue oceanic vibe and spices

Green papua: for its jungly green spicy sweet complimentary notes

Syed ascent: to take it up to the skies and go extra terrestrial. Also to bring out earth notes

Oud Royale Sri Lanka: for oomph more spice touch of fruit and accentuate the blue green

Our royle no 5: for its mud, forest floor, deep dark green black brown and gently smoky notes

Sandal to give volume softness touch of butter and soothing qualities.

Will let it rest a while and try later and see how the proportions work. What is a Abscent what is dominating. What’s lost what’s not. Make adjustments and then try two versions: oil vs alcohol dilution and atomizer application. To the latter I may add touch of petit grain, oakmoss and Aglaia absolute. Tbd.

so the seak to sky oil is almost a success. some interesting feedback i received from listening to this oil:

orsl and kinamantan dont mesh well. i need one or the other.
orsl is totally dominating the opening and the nature of the drydown. gotta reduce its %
OR5 is absolutely awesome in the way it has invisibly made its presence felt and keeping the soaring reach to the sky aromatics in check and bringing them back to earth.

Curious which Sandal oil you decided to go with for this project..?
jk (rpp) timor for its more of a green accord too and touch minty/cooling note. the scent is not noticable but the texture and the way it has rounded the sharp edges of oud, is very much at play. the perfect oil for rounding edges though is ensar's 84 mysore for how subtle and quiet it is. probably a sin to use such a unique old and special oil, but then again i am a sinner! now where is that evil emoji?
