Just thought of sharing pictures from ongoing Ruh Gulaab (Damanscena) distillation in Hosayan near Kannauj. Hosayan is where rose is distilled two times a year. The best crop being April/May. Aromatically, it is mildly sweet, citrusy metallic and green vegetal in character. You get slight notes of mandarin and bergamot in it as well. Its gorgeous beyond words. It is a distillation unit of Pranjal Bhai from respected M L Ramnarain Perfumers. One of the leading family owned distillers from Kannauj since late 1800s. They were the first company to give this world Cypriol.
