Hello all, I’m a completely addicted Oud head in San Diego area. I actually picked up my first bottle back in the ‘04 era “Golden Age” for Papuans, with an Irian Jaya from UNS Finecraft. I used it as slowly as I could, as even that $100 or so bottle was a huge investment for me at the time, and more recently started up again when I found Ensar’s site a couple years ago. I’ve piled up quite a few bottles in that time, my current favorites are Tigerwood ‘95, Encens Royale ‘85, Kinam Rouge and my most recent addition is a 1 gr bottle of Pinoy LTD that I bought privately. I’m only one swipe in, but it seems positively mind bending on a first impression. Definitely love the warmth and depth of the oldies, but I do love some of my newer, top note-heavy oils too. I use the oils primarily to get myself in a good frame of mind for worship. I’m a big fan of Shahkh Hamza Yusuf, who said one time that excellent scent elevates the nafs, and I also remember Shaykh Nuh Keller many years ago in a darse mentioning something about putting on a good Oud and reflecting on Allah. But I also dab a bit on before a walk or a bike ride with my kids, really anything where I’m “smelling the roses” of life and an amazing Oud is always a further enhancement. I’m sure I don’t need to tell any of you!

Anyway, looking forward to interacting here with the community, thanks for accepting my join request!

You have great taste, some amazing oils. May Allah Azawajal bless Shaykh Nuh Keller and all the other men of knowledge, calling people towards truth. I myself use oud for worship but quite often I could be watching television or a film and apply a good oil to enjoy. What’s your oud of the day?

Today just happened to be one of the top tier oils, Nha Trang LTD with some nice cold weather outdoor salah. A real beauty.
