I am curious about sandal and eaglewood bracelets after seeing this thread and like would like your opinion.

How long do they retain a noticeable fragrance for?

Also, would Oud oil for the price of the bracelet be more pleasurable and the would the bracelet simply be valuable for it's relative permanence?

Unless you have a fragrant type of wood used in a bracelet, be it Sandalwood, Agarwood, etc. The value is not so much for fragrance, but for the sake of wearing it as an accessory:cool: A fragrant Sandalwood bracelet like Ensar's or Agarwood such as A. Beccariana or Gyrinops or Kyara will always retain their scent if properly stored and worn conscientiously. They don't reek but sometimes you'll catch the wafts.
I buy the cheap Aetoxylon beads for their heaviness, chatoyance, and patterns. Some have a mild pleasant smell. Everywhere I go, I'm the only one sporting such beads.
Definitely the Oud oil is more pleasurable. But if you want to look good and smell good, apply Oud while wearing a bracelet or necklace of beads:)
As for Prayer Beads and Malas, those are not worn as accessories;)

    Maa shaa'Allaah. superb :)

Was it actually recently harvested or you guys "harvested" the wood from the hunters' old stock? :D

If it's the former, perhaps such quality wood is still coming out from the jungles of Ceylon occasionally?

I believe this was a recent harvest. Although there are still trees standing in Sri Lanka, the amount of wood being harvested across the board has decreased considerably since 3-4 months, when I last visited. Everyone looks like a fish without water here. They don't understand what hit them, and how the supply went down so quickly.

Even so, Sri Lanka has always been a universe unto itself when it comes to agarwood, with prices surpassing at times even the offices of the China Market's capos.

We let that wood 'sit' for a night, while we gaged demand, and sure enough it was gone the next day despite the astronomical price....

Sorry guys, I guess you won't be getting any this time around, and 'agarwood porn' is the best we could do.... :(

LOVELY… yeh many not get the true value of high quality sinking agarwood and how it is priced…
the fact that we been able to offer Sri Lankan sinkers at 3-4$ per grams doesn’t mean that ALL SL wood cost this much.
those were tiny size pieces ONLY suitable for heating fished out of hundreds of “suppliers”.
we also got some thick and heavy nuggets around and they run for 20 - 50 $ per gram depending on the size and shape…
