Skanky Animalic....

#1
Could anyone recommend a skanky animalic fecal barnyard oud that is reasonably priced - like an Assam or Hindi with legs -- and that they believe to be pure product...no bunk? I just got some good press for one of my mukhallats that is extra stinky but I am really low on the oud that I made it from and I would rather try a different source because I do feel the product was lightly tweaked for the Arab market as is so common these days. I don't care about the grade of oil near as much as i do about the skank and realness. Thanks in advance.

It is from basenotes forum "My first sample to try is Bangladesh Oudh. First I have to talk about the consistency. It is very thick, but not oily or sticky at all. It is almost like a semi-solid state which I've never seen before in an oud. Now I just dabbed on a very small amount and this stuff is powerful! It is very, very fecal! I'm afraid to go in the other room or my wife will start checking my daughter's diapers. I'll keep you updated on how this evolves but for now it is barnyard to the max. "
This Oud is from oudh.co.uk http://www.oudh.co.uk/shop/perfumes/available-oudh/bangladesh-oud

fumigateur,

even though I do not know HOW heavily animalic exactly you need to go... My recommendation would be Ensar´s Assam Organic. It is very strong and typically Hindi. The sillage is quite strong (or does one say "far"?-- I don´t know exactly, my native laguage is German so sometimes I get to mix up adjectives).
The barnyard stays (on me) for some twelve hours-- although Assam Organic develops some sweeter floral and spice notes over time.
I can only say that I have come to like it quite a lot-- even though I will always restrict myself to wearing it alone, at the privacy of my home.
I do not feel like getting stares of repulse ;-)

1/4 tola, 279.92 US-$; here:

kind regards

Cost is a strong part of my mukhallat business and while I love Ensar's work as a stand alone I cannot crunch numbers and decant Ensar oils at the same time.

You also need to factor in using the majority of a 3g bottle for experimentation, before you end up with something you are happy with!

I got the Bengal oud from oudh.co.uk. It is truly one of the skankiest ouds I have ever smelled whose animalic smell was from the oud not from bad distilling. I have had it for two weeks and it is not quite as viral as when it arrived but it still smells like limburger cheese rotting in a chicken coop. I usually make blends from part of my tola but I am really not sure where to go with this one. Waiting for some inspiration. What goes well with rotten cheese...I don't drink but port certainly comes to mind as well as fruits, maybe melon and figs...still thinking and not testing.
