Reminiscing with Kambodi 1976. This legendary Crassna has a deep burgundy profile colour with notes of licorice, fig, plum, tobacco, lilies, iris, camphor, petrichor, preserved lemon, red kinam, cedar, ancient sandal, musk, Kampot pepper, and ambergris.

Eid Mubarak to all our brothers and sisters on the forum!

Haven't posted here in awhile, work has been killer but it's all worth it in the end.

My SOTD is a lot more than just Oud. I have Adan swiped behind each ear, with a Siberian/Kashmir Musk maceration on the wrists, and pure Tibetan Musk extract in the beard.

Am I ultra fragrant today? Yes :D Today is a good day!

I’ve acquired two exceptional oils recently; Chugoku Senkoh and Pailin Special K. The PSK is magnificent and welcoming and I’m going to wait before I explore it more deeply.

Maybe because the other seemed more difficult I’ve been concentrating on it. The CS is much more taciturn. That’s the word my girlfriend quickly applied to it. She didn’t mean it in the sense of being severe-she smiled and asked about it the moment I entered her home. She meant taciturn in the sense of pure, unpretentious, true to its own strength, and not envious of the charming quirks possessed by others. My goodness but I wish my nose was as good as hers!

That is the very core of CS. A beautiful, true, centered, core olfactory energy inside a cloud of icy menthol. A QRS complex existing as a wave rather than heartbeats. Pure mindfulness, pure energy, pure intention.

I see what Ensar means to say with the Senkoh series. Among the best oils I have ever heard.

My daily stimuli:
The incredible value attar Thai Tabac on the hat.
Swipe(S) of Chiem Po Qi on the pulse points of the neck and a couple spritzes of American Oud on the shirt giving off a fine smokiness, like just the right amount of Oud Dhul Q, thicker than Aroha Kyaku and more refined.
The Autumn chill means I gotta step up my layering!

A gem of a swipe today. The glorious, sparkling 2012 Royal Guallam by Oriscent.
That's the stuff dreams are made of! That same sparkle is within Oud Ertugrul... you've gotta sample it!

SOTD: EO No 1 EDP; the ambergris really came through for me today exuding a salty chord that seemed to harmonize perfectly with the day. I'm always amazed how complimentary natural fragrances are to their environment.

It's like each day is bespoke.
