Starting the oud journey

Err are you sure you want that? You cannot imagine the amount of temptation (and inevitably the damage to your bank account) you need to endure as Ensar lavishes swipes after swipes of unreleased oils onto every inches of your arms and hands! [emoji28]
I don't need to imaging the temptation, I experienced it first hand! I had bought Aroha Kyaku and Oud Yusuf the week before the OudFest and went with the intention to sample and learn. I returned an hour later with Cambodi Caramel and a hitlist of about 7 others in my head :p

I'd love to go just to talk and finally meet in person. I'd drive them mad with questions, I'm sure. Of course I'd love to give a sniff to whatever he has there. I'm sure I would walk away with, or at least want to walk away with, a half dozen or so new oils. But honestly, regarding new purchases, only two simple conditions have to be met. 1. I have the funds. 2. He recommends the oils for me. That's it! Simple as that.

Naw, Commadante Bhanny you're not really all that bad, well not in comparison to Adam, Ensar, Taha and especially Al Shareef anyway. I mean good grief, when I started teaching those guys all about Oudh, man, talk about a young guy going grey....:p
Oh yeah, sandalwood too...
Your insight to Oudh is another level Sir! I am glad I am able to learn so much from your depth and writings! :)

If only every oud enthusiast had this approach to buying oils, many thousands of dollars squandered thoughtlessly on the wrong oils would be spared!....

Moreso than any other commodity, oud is something that requires complete trust of the vendor. Any doubts in your mind about his integrity, you should find yourself a different source. I personally would prefer if the folks who would question my integrity took their business elsewhere and didn't bother with my products at all.

Completely Agree with Sidi Ensar on the trust issues of his products. I for one truly am blessed to have Ensar oils in my life and in my house. Sidi Ensar, I got your back and will InshaAllah never doubt in anything you offer.

It seems at last that this is a difficult task as it requires the tenacity and capacity of perspicacity.
It's such a novel idea it makes me wonder why it's not clear; why indulge if they find your character queer or products priced too dear?
The answer, like their common sense, remains elusive, therefore my query and investigation are still inconclusive.

Well my case is similar to mec09nr, I took a little less time to realize the authentic Oud, I think that before contacting Ensar, I had tried oud as a component in some Attar of Sultan Pasha.

Later after trying some ASAQ high-medium branch blend, I started reading a lot of reviews, I saw that everyone was talking about Ensar Oud, Agar Aura, Imperial Oud, Feel and Treasure Oud, contact Adam de Ensar who kindly asked me what I thought. I liked the western perfumes, I told him what I liked, he advised me as a beginner Aroha KyakuAssam Organic and Oud Yusuf.

I placed the order of 3 gr of Aroha Kyaku and 0.30 gr of the other two, kindly giving me some samples Oud Sultany 1990 and Xiang Lia Ling then buy Star Oud from Treasure Oud.

The case is that I only wear these, I am pending to buy the next 2.5 days of Oud Yusuf and Tigerwood 1995, along with some sample of 0.30.

I have to thank Ensar Oud for his honesty, advising me to go little by little and not to buy Legends or similar things.

Thank you all and forgive my ignorance of Oud
