Using a diffuser for oils

So guys, sniffing the oud from the wrist and getting occasional reminders that it's there is nice. But having the aroma permeating the whole room would be something different altogether.

So from your experiences, do you apply oud (or other) oils in a diffuser? If yes, what kind ? Some simple types simply require you to put a drop or two in water and it's heated. I've never tried using diffusers, but I feel that the full spectrum of the aroma might get warped by the water.

Comments and advice are much appreciated.

Nebulizer. I strongly recommend not using a water-based diffuser. A nebulizer uses an air pump, making vibrations that shoot tiny particles of the oil (not heated, not broken down) into the air, is best. Be prepared for a major buzz. ;)

PS: a healthy swipe on skin is still best. The way the aroma evolves on skin cannot be matched by applying to clothing, diffusing, etc.

Ah I didn't know you could do that. As a matter of fact, I have that diffuser. Hehe will try it out on some of the samples I have in my collection.
