What is your best oud to wear on a hot weather?

Hi all,

I have a question here, what is your best oud to wear on a hot weather/climate?
I think indian or some cambodian oud are too heavy in a hot weather.. since i dont have many oud collections, for now i prefer Maroke 2004 or Oud Emerald to wear on hot days.. What about you? Please share.. :)

Sorry for my bad english :(

I would have to say a Borneo oil is the best for summer time. It is light and sweet. Indians are way too warm, but some Cambodian oils can be nice in hot weather. I wouldn't typically go for a Maroke oil.

Bois de Borneo, the description on the website is exact. It doesn't project much in the cool, I used some the other day before a yoga session. As I warmed up it really began to come alive and blossom, but never became cloying with one sample vial swipe on the forearm and one on the neck. It was somewhat reminiscent of the honey, hay sugar note in Luten's Chergui. From wearing Yusuf a lot recently, I'd imagine that it would do well in the heat, with a lighter application.

today i wear Bois de Borneo before Shalat Jum'ah,, i took 2 swipe.. 1 swipe in the morning, and 1 swipe right before Jum'ah on my wrist and my neck.. you are right! in an air condition room temperature Bois little bit "shy", but when i go to the mosque on a hot weather Bois de Borneo became "alive" and project good scent to the people around me.. NICE! but dont take it to much or it will make you headache because too heavy to take

Sure did, the Yusuf was light my C.Cacao was my favorite anytime Oud I usually only wear mine at the end of my day when I'm chilling. It depends on my mood what I wear, last year I did wear Kuno Kayu anytime, that's why I agree with Borneo. If I'm working I don't wear any, hopefully I'll be working this summer, I like to enjoy my Oud alone.

I live in a really hot city, around 47º Celsius in summer, with these temperatures is really difficult to wear Oud or any kind of oil or perfum. Here you should wait till the sun goes down. Then, at nigth, you should wear very ligth Ouds like ones from Maluku, or Nusa islands; also some Borneo or Papua if the nigth refresh a little bit.
I personally prefer to wear ligth Oud based Mukhallats in summer, and better with green or citrus tones.

Hey Oudlover can you describe or compare the Purple Kinam to something else? I'm still undecided myself if I should go for PK.
Hi Alirician, If you are Oud Yusuf fan, you would definitely like purple kinam. Very easy to wear oil and excellent longevity. You also get a vibe of borneo as well. I also get this rose note in it 30 minutes after applying. It is like woody rose note ilke you are rubbing rose petals in hand and mixing them with smell of oud. There is no barnyard smell in this one. One of my all time favorite
