What's on your burner today?

Haven’t tried their incense. But I can tell u that WSG hainan incense is an absolute favorite and likely forever top10. Where is home for you? Up for a swap of some incense?
I noticed KZ was about to drop some WSG this evening BTW.

I’m in Colorado; would be glad to send you a couple of each.

Just burned a third of a 'Moonlight Jasmine' stick from Fred Soll. I bought a single sample stick and they burn for ages so no need to burn it all in one go!

Think I will go burn some of Al Hashimi's Filipino wood now I've started burning wood in a more attentive way instead of just sticking it on the heater several feet away and leaving it go all day

I want to get a Kodo Electric heater any recommendations... Ensar has one but $350 seems a bit too much...

Haven’t tried any of Fred solls incenses but they come highly recommended. Have you tried others? As for wood on the heater, Filipino wood for the win. Always.

Subitism with voltage adjuster is what you want. Affordable and multi functional. Can use super low heat setting to super high.

I have one from imperial oud for two years and zero issues. Is a simple straightforward gismo. Even if it stops working a trip to local electrical shop will fix the issue. Fear not.
Ok let me get in touch with the gentleman again and see if the offer is still on

Hey yes I burned a Honey Amber (using real ambergris...apparently) and it's a stunner! Very very very sticky, the recommend keeping the sticks in fridge or freezer to make them easier to take out of the packaging. I managed to strip some of the incense off the stick as I removed my first one
Will have to burn more to analyse further, but I'm pretty bad at analysing and describing scents

Two thumbs up. Ambergris does indeed make things sticky.

Many wood was powdered and tried. Many grades of hainan including the green kinam of hainan. Wore hailam Ltd the most pristine scent of sinesis oil to date. Closest oil to this is malek al ceeni from al shareef. Hailam is more to the point and all about that heart note.

BUT I digress the one wood that really stood out is the Yunnan 91 from Ensar Oud. This blue note. Blue lotus. But not it. Some mysterious soft sensual creamy yet piercing, sharp yet round note. I make no sense and I bet you too would be left speechless if you were trying this wood. Has anyone tried it?

I know Ensar and I too are on a purple kick and all things purple but I hope the next phase will be all things blue. And an oil that captures this spirit of blue in Yunnan 91. For now I am fully enjoying purple via:

Purple kinam
Xll
Aceh candan
Papuamantan (yes there is a streak of purple during development)
Papuya
Jayapula
Agar aura Royal maluku 2.0 (not yet released seram/ceram wood)

All purple. All different shades of it. Some light purple some dark. Some recognizable purple some not. Lucky us. What a fragrant time we live in.

Tried some hudhayl Hindi twigs from alshareef on medium high heat. Gentle sweet hay, tea, soft subdued baking spices notes. Pretty wood.

Then went on to gentle heat my mixed grind (powder) of mega purple: 50% ceram, 50% bois iris, 10% irian noir. Mind bent. Spirit high. Outer body experience.

To ground myself back to earth used a small sliver of ancient crumbling tarakan heartwood from KZ. Mintiest Borneo profile without a doubt.

Grandpa thoroughly enjoyed them all esp the tarakan.

Today was a heating session of red baram Borneo from Ensar. Most ambiantly aromatic wood I have come across since a sinking tarakan I found via Kz 2 years back. Just gorgeous. Very very fragrant and has the scent of a well ventilated jungle. I get shire imagery from the hobbit.

I then took my gimli axe (attached photo) and shaved/lewder some 91 Yunnan aka blue kinam as per vancouver oud guild. I would happily and gladly swap out triple the volume of any and all wood (minus nha Trang, ceram...) for more of this gorgeous blue eyed specimen. It is that fabsulous!

Last but not least, some Vietnam red soil. Scent of coconut macaroon and other decliois confected baked goods. Lots of wood is passed around as Vietnam red soil and are just meh or nice. But when you land the real deal you know it. Like the arkanstone, you know you are in presence of something unique. I won’t name the failed sources unless you want to DM me. The successful source was once again dear KZ.

I'm a big incense fan and Almighty has been kind enough to bring to me the following ...

New stock added and Thanks to Almighty was able to complete the whole Premium list of Shoyeido (my favorite range)
