I wanted to start a thread where issues related to Zahras, the basenotes.net forum and such things could be discussed.
Reading through all the old oud threads at basenotes, it appears that open discussion on relevant topics was discouraged by an over zealous moderator and I am assuming some of the contributors to those threads are now here at gaharu.com.
There also appears to be some kind of general problem with the basenotes forums. Shortly after registering, I tried logging in and was told that I was banned for spam. Needless to say, I haven't spammed anyone. I tried registering and logging in again under another name and email address and had the same experience. Either the moderator is immediately banning anyone who joins the oud group or the site has been hacked, or both.
Regarding Zahras, I am disappointed to report that my email inquiries remain unanswered after several days. I had hoped to purchase some Amouage Tribute at a good price from them. I have noticed that perhaps 50% of the time that I access the zahras.com site the site attempts to install a virus on my computer. Fortunately, my anti virus software blocks the attempt. I am wondering if Zahras has been hacked ? This might explain the problem with email communications.
Have any of you had similiar experiences ?

Has anyone purchased from Zahras recently ? If you are in the USA, what kind of delivery times have you experienced ?
