@Rasoul S
Your reaction to Hindustan #1 made my knees buckle:confused: Thanks for sharing

Morning swipe
Oud Dhul Q
Perfect for this briskly cool morning, nice drydown too

Afternoon swipe
Contemplating with Kaliman Kala
No, not contemplating about life, but rather, the scent notes. I feel like layering some Brunei on top:)

Rounding off the night with a swipe of my own ambergris tincture using apricot colored ambergris.
Sweet, slightly salty ocean, almost fruity.

To my nose and my experience chugoko senkoh was a category definer and most profound hindi to date. Assam 05 was another. Lavanya another good one. But this bad boy, Hindustan 1 is in a different league. Wow wow wow

Is this an upcoming release?
yes. it is a very recent distillation, the one in video with brother @Shabby . technically not ready, but as a student of oud i asked taha to let me see the tightening and aging process myself instead of sitting back and waiting to get this oil when is pulled together and ready.

i have no idea how much of it taha has made but if it is little i think he should implement a policy of max X gram per patron as to ensure as many people get to try this oil as possible. if you are reading this @Taha give it some serious thought. i know you could possibly make it easier and sell 3 gram to someone, but so many passionate and deserving oud heads will then miss out. better yet if you can do a variety pack of 2 vietnamese, 2 indian and 2 cambodian it would be even better!

Many congrats Sir on acquiring this once in a lifetime oil. The scary part is that is going to get better, better, and freaking better!!
i was hesitant as you all knwo my aversion to hindi oils. but when i learned it is a unique thing of its own with a very different profile and texture i had to pull the plunge. it is a moderate size purchase of 0.5 gram, but one that i will treasure along the likes of nha trang ltd, royal malinau, port moresbey, kinamantan, philipna no 1, chugoko....

we can tell you are obviously blissing out. just reading "Sultan Abdüs Sultan saves the day again" is arguably the finest review of this oil and proof of its transporting qualities.
I meant no disrespect to famed physicist Abdüs Selam by mistyping his name, but clearly I’m floating away into oud senility.

Borneo binge the past couple days!
Yesterday the wonderful Tawwau Al Awwal (Feel Oud) - apparently made from very high grade shavings - this has long been one of my favorite Borneo oils, so much personality and color - the main sunshine/woody/floral/fruit notes come together in a way that is sort of funky like a barnyard oud, but def not barnyard.. Maybe it was soaked for a bit, not sure..

Today - Borneo 5000 by Ensar - you might think you swiped a little Purple Kinam with this one - but the Borneo (not Malaysian) increasingly shine through.. A sumptuous, decadent Borneo experience..

Hahaha. Great recovery. Not that one was needed. You are amongst friends here. Abdus selam is my oud wear for yoga practice in 30 min.

Oud of the night: none other than Nha Trang Ltd.

It appears the world of Oud is divided to two kinds of oud heads: those who see hindi as the ultimate And those who see Vietnam and in particular kinam as the holly grail.

I am in the latter camp. What an oil. I am blessed to have multiple small pieces of Nha Trang wood from great to insane grade and I can tell you the scent on the low to moderat- heat is very much the scent of this elixir. This nectar. This liquid gold. Kinamic it is. I won’t mistaken it to Kyara. Yellow green or black. Nor to Hainan kinam or Hong Kong purple kinam. But the scent here is the spine of what makes Vietnam Vietnam. Is not just the toro of any tuna but blue fin tuna. Not just any toro grade either, we are talking o Toro grade. This is it folks. The ultimate Vietnam. I do have to say though not kiyosumi or wanmei yet but special k and kenmei are not far behind. Nha Trang Ltd is many grades above yet even if I had 3 grams of this oil (read liberal and regular swiping) I would still crave and want a different Vietnam profile like that of kenmei. That super creamy sweet lightly menthol crepe brulee.

Bitter in most beautiful way. Oudy. That cooling note but much more refined here. Silver notes. Yes. Silver. Rubbing silverware. Mild mild mild sweetness. Supple. Full. Rich. Saturated. Unctuous.

If 0.5 gram this oil is within your means then pull he trigger. You will thank yourself. I say 0.5 because I think it takes 0.15,0.2 grams to get to understand this oil and then the rest for enjoyment

I absolutely agree Rasoul. You described the Nha Trang very well. If the kids are fed, shod and sheltered, then experiencing this oil is a valuable thing. I’ll even say a spiritual experience. It’s focussing, alerting, centering, a mental experience beyond the smell of the oil itself. And you won’t forget the smell. A half gram is plenty.

Honestly, I think my autocorrect is out to get me these days. I thought with the amount of oud residue soaking my phone that it would be happier. Maybe it’s drunk?

SOTD: near final drops of Suriranka Senkoh.
Paired with a new a Ethiopian espresso that was delivered yesterday. Exceptional beauty.

An odd oud from Feel Oud - Sumatra Q-TIQ.. This was my first encounter with a scent profile that I have since smelled in the Feel Oud oil Blue Malayu and the Agar Aura oud's Darul Aman and Ayu - the Sumtra reminds me of that psychedelic wild Malaysian profile.. Those of you who have Ayu or Darul Aman know what I'm talking about.. Def an acquired taste - when I got the oud it was literally blue in color, and I found that scent a bit too funky and weird - it was among my least favorite oils.. I tried it again today after many months in it's little vial, the color having become tan - lo and behold, age has done it wonders, the wild fruity/floral thing fused with some earthy notes, and overall smoother and more elegant.. Very nice oil!
