Yunnan '03 (EO) - I've been so wrapped up in the delights of China Sayang and Hainan 2005 recently that I had sort of forgotten about my little vial of Yunann '03 - wow, this one is super potent and rich, really phenomenal - perhaps my favorite of the series?

Chugoku Senkoh and Borneo Fera (FO) today. The CS is just one oil that calls to me pretty much every day. The BF is one I have not tried in a while. These lower priced FO oils really seem to be coming into their own as months pass. It was a little primal when I first got it but now has much more depth and those airy green unmistakable Borneo notes. Nice!!

It is for sure. I wear it and Yunnan Exclusive on occasion and they are opulent, rich and phermonal.

Thanks for the kind words my brother!
I am about an hour into the Hainan and it is singing to me loud and clear! I have to ask Adam about the wood and the distillation. This is a serious Chinese Oud player. Extremely well done. Definitely high on the oleoresins as opposed to accessory notes, which I my favorite type of Oud.

I was hoping to report on some new deliveries today, but it seems my package went on an adventure.
It was in town, but I received an update earlier saying it was now 2,000 miles away, but now it's on it's way back.
Expected delivery Monday!
Take care out there, little bottles!

Bummer! I have had some oils go on an adventure as well. Fortunately they came home just fine!

Right arm
Layth - ASO: A lovely Cambodi, like ice cold fruit punch on a hot summer day, clean profile, nice juicy fruits, an underlying hint of rose.

Left arm
Hainan Arabi - FO: Funky and animalic, balanced by a lovely orange zest note. I got major olfactory fatigue with this one, maybe my nose has not built up tolerance for this type of oil yet.

It's funny how we perceive different oils and how they affect us. For me the Hainan Arabie is incredibly addictive. I crave swiping more and more and constantly smelling. I have to be careful I don't blow through my precious 2.5gms. But, I do recall that when I got my first sinensis oil, Hainan 2005, I also had to pace myself with it as the sour notes were quite overpowering. Those days are long gone though.

Oud Isa is up today. I just can't get enough of these aged traditional Hindi oils. The animalic notes are so beautifully integrated and satisfying. There is such a huge difference in the style of these oils compared to the new stuff which I love as well, but i feel like these oils bring me back in time and connect me to ancient trees and forests. There in just nothing like them.

Chugoku Senkoh~Ensar Oud, this is for sure one of Ensar's uncooperative, rascal oils and I can't say much about it because it won't stay still long enough. One sniff it's that moist, woody, nearly vanillic note in Bois de Borneo, the next it's the highly resinous grinded wood note of Taha's Lalitya and Imperial Oud's Sinensis, the next it's the almost fruity drydown of Oud Isa that Kid Ortho just mentioned. Anyway, it's good to see that you did get the machine @Ensar.
