Hi mate, yeah when I entered the mosque with just a swipe of Aroha Kyaku, a group of brothers doing talim got the aroma hint from it and they were asking where did the scent came from because it was soooooo pureee. I felt bad though for the distraction but I gave them all a swipe and they were sniffing their palms over and over and over and over again. EO and team great job!!

Fans of smoky oud or high quality wood on high heat should be on look out for what I humbly think is the grand daddy of all the oils in this genre: sultan Abdul hamit. It is a game over oud. Borneo/ng co distill. I wana have a tola of it and pour it all over my face.

EO Kinam Rouge.

Dregs on bottom of sample Adam sent me. It's amazing how very little of this oil ends up being a monster amount on the skin. Smells a bit oxidized at this point, but is still a whirl wind of scents.

Remaining oil off toothpick went onto the tongue...quite the anesthetic!

Morning stick was Minorien Kyara Ryugen...beast mode!

I still struggle so much with Ensar’s attars and edps. My oud and sandal aesthetic is dangerously aligned to Ensar’s but I can’t cross the bridge with attars and perfumes. It is mostly their strength and punch. Knock out one too
It’s great to have choices! Coming from and still very much enjoying fine perfumes and attars in addition to exploring oud oils, I’m enjoying the expansion of unregulated and mostly natural fragrances featuring great ingredients.

do you wear oud as a scent or to be transported? to be moved and feel like a jolt of lightning has hit your soul. if only that transportation quality would do, then you be wise to look up what agar aura is about to put out: two mean oils by names of Malaya (think Ayu on steroids or a friend of purple kinam (that purple and that cola nut note is much rounder and fatter than ayu, while the rest of the scent is different from PK, both have a certain transportative quality) and the other meaner oil is royal maluku 2.0 (ceram/seram) source wood. butter butter and more orris butter notes meet philipina 1 notes and other general cummingiana notes but there is a feminine beauty underneath it all that is captivating.

what a lovely time we live in to see true artisans putting their aesthetic stamp on different regions and turning up oils that are bliss in a bottle. i dont mean to sound cocky, far from it, i remaina student for life, but i have not been truly wowed lately by many oils. last amazing oil i tried that had my soul leave my body was Oriscent Papuya. today that happened again with royal maluku.
