What's the deal with putting oud oil on your tongue if you don't mind me asking. Is it some sort of "legal high" (personally not into intoxicants due to religious reasons)

One of my really close friend came over a short while ago and dropped me off a gift. Turns out it was a bottle of the beautiful Assam Organic and a 1/2 bottle of Xiang Liao Ling. What a beautiful way to surprise someone! I had the Assam Organic on my list ever since I saw it available on EnsarOud. I just glanced at the bottle for a few minutes and just smelled the Oudh with the applicator still inside. Wow and wow again. Will have a better review on it soon.
The Xiang Liao Ling was on my bucket list for quite a while but didn't have a chance to acquire it. I had the chance to smell it on the person who gave me the bottle and made up my mind to get it sometime soon. Just a beautiful Meroke with so much Earthiness in it. Again I didn't have a chance to use it yet just out of shock and excitement!!
Very happy to hear this @kooolaid79 - now you can join me in raving about XLL.

Assam Organic is one of my most treasured oils, it is too primordial for words. There is a primal heartbeat in it which seems to have its origins in a time before time, so to speak.

Now some gorgeous and pristine Chamkeila, to help me contemplate the One who provides in unexpected and beautiful ways.

Awesome Koool. Just awesome. I only have a small sample of the Organic, but the XLL is a treat. What a friend indeed!

Hey there. I do not do any intoxicants due to personal reasons. Well, caffeine, definitely. I have dabbed a dot of Purple Kinam and Ceylon No1 on my tongue while wearing a swipe of the oil. I have also chewed a small piece if Hainan Kinam. No intoxicating effects for me, thankfully. Just a brief burst of intensity followed by a bit of peace and serenity. My experience anyways.

CONGRATS !!! ALHAMDULILLAHI RABBIL ALAMIN !!! What a PLEASANT surprise anyway ... can't wait for a short review from you ...

Wow! I guess I fall into the kafir category! Not to worry though. I'll retreat into a piece of heaven with the swipe of Nha Trang that I just swiped. I've been waiting to review/speak on it until I could come up with a good description, but it's been futile. There is no way to describe this oil. It is mental medicine. It has calmed me down the last two times that I've been extremely stressed. Thanks to Adam for recommending this oil and to Ensar for sharing!

That's awesome KoolAid! I wish I had a local friend that was into Oud like that! I let my best friend sniff Kinam Rouge once. He thought it was ok. Then he asked, "Are those the 'essential oils' that promote healing." He then went on to tell me about this MLM essential oil company that his wife's friend is involved with and in which they were talked into sitting down for a presentation. SMH.

Oh my! You showed him Kinam rouge and said it was Ok? I mean if someone said that to me I would probably make up some excuse and get that person as far away from Oudh as possible first of all and secondly than far away from me. Some people just truly don't understand what connection Oud has to a person!

I know what you mean! Actually, I give him credit for at least thinking it was decent. It was his first time smelling oud. Then again, Kinam Rouge is such a high quality oil that even a newbie can appreciate it to some degree.

OK, I'm doing a side-by-side of CEEN & Fragrant Harbor and I'm dumbstruck. Either these were cooked in the same pot or our pistol-pointing cowboy accidentally poured from the same bottle?

Loud & clear Guangdong sinensis profile. A touch of bitterness. Medicinality. Lots of white wood notes here: which is what lends that signature sweet, creamy, soft resinous tone, typical of young plantation stock. Remarkable profile nonetheless, and I tip my hat off to the distiller. I can see how someone might mistake this for an adolescent Kyara Koutan! Very nice oil indeed....

I'd have to say, at $195 a bottle, this is #MOCA with flying colors. Bravo.

The FH isn't bad at the price is it?! Definite KK notes from the dipstick, but the skin tells a different story. I guess it's still young and the wood used for the KK was different. Al Shareef Ceen is a fantastic Oud too - many reviews have praised it for its high quality.

No doubt... KK was Myitkyina centennials... This is a good way forward for Chinese, though. Sort of like the Trat equivalent of Guangdong.... Give these trees one more decade and they'll even give Trat a run for its money. I'm really liking this!

Nha Trang LTD. Man. Seriously beautiful stuff. Easily amongst the elite of the elite I've ever smelled.

I happen to be wearing both Kynam No 1 and Nha Trang LTD now. A friend on here asked for some advice. Ensar, is the wood used in K1 from Nha Trang? Removing the kinam notes, I know, why the heck would I do that? But there is a common theme there.

If i could find a 'bow down' emoticon, I would insert a row of them.

Wow! Quite the duo you've got there! ;)

Nope, not Nha Trang. Laos border. Part of me genuinely suspects the wood was actually hauled from over the border and is in fact pure Pusong (especially given the recent side-by-sides with the – ahem! – "Bhanny Kinam") but of course we gave the wood dude the benefit of the doubt, being a trusted source for years.

You're not alone in thinking the Nha Trang LTD is akin to Kinam. Taha also thought it was a pure kinam extract when he first smelled it....

If you really want to know what I think.... Kynam No 1 is pure sinensis (possibly kinam-bearing tree; again, Taha even debated the point with me: "You must've distilled a kinam tree without even realizing it!...") while Nha Trang is some rare miracle species we never harvested before or since.... To me, it surpasses even Kinam in its breathtaking beauty...
