Your favorite Oud Oil?

#11
This is a tough answer, my #1 is Royal#2, Kalbar 3000 or Borneo 50K, Oud Ishaq, Kalbar Koh & Kuno Kayu a 50/50 mix is great

I just got my Borneo 50K, very nice it's like an elegant Kalbar 3000 with a little character Ensar described it perfect, the wood base is great

@d.dog and about the sillage 50K?

He is more diffuse than "Kalbar 3000"?
sorry for the delay!
Yes the sillage is definitely way better, I think this is a little more elegant its like the sister it has more life, the woody incense reminds me of some Borneo chips I had to a tee, & it lasts 12hrs+ on my skin

I've changed my favorite to Borneo 50K, I used to love my Royal2 I didn't think I would ever find another #1 now after spending time w/50K I love the opening notes it reminds me a little of the Borneo 3000, the middle reminds me of Royal2 the woody base lasts a long time, I put it 1st - then Royal 2, Kalbar 3000, Ishaq, then Kalbar Koh & Kuno Kayu. I believe without a doubt it was worth a little xtra $$

Those of us that liked Oud Ishaq, another top Oud, Thomas sent a sample of Oud Ilyas, it has the same consistency as Ishaq, but it's not as sweet as other organics it has a clean citrus lemony note - uplifting!
I don't mean to sound like an advertisement, I haven't had my computer much so I write as I see them when I can!
enjoy!

Oud Ishaq, now a Legend, and its little sister Dhul Kifl

The summer and the hot weather make me yearn for that sweet and narcotic scent of Linden flower and champaca, of ambergris and those citrusy notes.... So I am wearing (what is left of) that legendary Oud Ishaq during these days.

Also Ishaq´s little sister, Dhul Kifl, is what i like during summer weather: the notes are very similar to Ishaq, but slightly subdued, and a bit deeper or mellower. If Ishaq is the extrovert, young lady with a flamboyant style of clothing, then Dhul Kifl is the younger, shyer (or more introvert) sister -- but she is at the same time of a beauty outshining that of her older sister.

I I remember correctly Dhul Kifl is the second distillation of Chanthaburi chips that gave birth to Ishaq, hence the similarity between these two oils.
If you missed out on Ishaq, here´s reason to rejoice.

Thomas S, I agree with your thoughts on, Oud Ishaq I've been wearing it quite a bit I still have 1/2 a bottle I think its the best oud in hot weather a little on the wrist & I can't keep my nose away.
I didn't get any Dhul Kifl, I spent more time with Oud Ilyas, the consistancy is the same as Oud Ishaq & just as addicting also. The scent is like a fine tweaked Cambodi or Thai, with cleaner clear brighter green notes with lemon honey scent & a touch of spice, almost like a lemon/honey cough drop. That same urge to keep your nose stuck to your wrist.
I personally like the concistency of Oud Ishaq, Ilyas, my Ishaq seems to be lasting a little longer on the skin & in the bottle.
*Late nights if the a/c is running & I'm cool enough I like to wear a little *Borneo 50K, Kalbar 3000, or Kalbar Koh
The Borneo 50K is an excellent oil, I put a dab on my arm yesterday I forgot about it 24hr later my arm went by my face & it still has the real smokey woody incense smell.
