Whoever tells you they know with certainty what the cultivars on these tiny islands are is guessing at best. Cumingiana is a name that gets thrown around a lot, and I bet none of us has ever even seen a Cumingiana tree (and as such is in no position to identify one). For a positive avowal of my limitations on these literary pontifications, let me readily own that I have no idea if the oil I brought into the world is Cumingiana or an isolated strand of gyrinops, or..... Had we even encountered them in the wild, trees generally don’t carry Latin name tags.... which is why the folks on the ground never refer to species as defined by taxonomy but rather terroir.
Unless it’s something widely known, like crassna, malaccensis, agallocha, walla patta etc. whoever talks about species is just talking.
Pinoy LTD is from a tiny island in the middle of the ocean south of the Philippines, very far from Tawi Tawi, which is practically Borneo from a geographical standpoint.
