Every now and again a ridiculous bargain of epic proportions comes along in the oud market.

This is oil is that bargain.

For me Peoples Silani is all things to all men.

You have that blue almost cakey aquatic Sri Lankan profile along with the wonderful signature Thai creamy apricot. The oil is also skilfully grounded by the addition of Papuan woods which add a less sweet more jungly aspect to the composition and give the oil something to rest upon. The oil transitions from Top to Mids and Base each time I wear it, it is far from linear. The experience also changes each time I put it on so I get a different result every time.

If you are looking for an excellent Oud oil at an entry level price Peoples Silani is the way to go.

I see a lot of people buying multiple bottles and I can see why.

My thoughts on Suriranka 2.0

The highest grade Sri Lankan Oud oil I have ever experienced.

This oil has an incredible cooling effect, it opens up with enchanting white florals and an almost creamy sweetness. Later on the oceanic blue, aquatic and woody Sri Lankan qualities shine through. This oil draws you in and grows in intensity. There is a green quality in this one which I find synonymous with high grade oils across certain regions. Not a minty green but a very addictive green incense, an almost bitter yet sweet quality which rests deep at the heart of the experience. This oil is very much a full fat oil, incredibly resinous but also delicate.

I have to agree 100%! This is an amazing oil all around, it projects really well and lasts forever on my skin in addition to all of aromatic and therapeutic qualities. Pretty much game over for any other sri lanka oil in comparison to this.

Most other Sri Lankan’s I’ve tried are nice smelling but very flat, upon application you can just tell the quality of the wood with this one. Have you tried Sri supreme? There is another Sri Lankan’s Sidi Ensar has brought out for Black Friday too. God help my wallet lol lol

Well, I've caught up on all 20 pages...great stuff. Thank you @bhanny for starting the thread. Some of you are real poets with supernoses and the ability to describe what your experiencing is profound. Cheers.

Hope to see some more reviews of some of the newer oils. And especially those crazy treasures Ensar released in tiny batches on Black Friday (maybe it was Cyber Monday). Also curious about reviews of AA's Pursat 4k.

I haven’t worn this beauty in a while. This is the only Filipino oil in my collection, in fact it’s the only one I’ve ever tried. When I first bought it I wasn’t sure what to expect, here is what Ive got over multiple wearings.

This oil straight off the bat has that Oriscent quality, like you’ve snorted a line of Oud cocaine almost, it goes straight to your brain and uplifts your senses and brightens your mood like a bolt of lightning. Immediately the signature bitterness is apparent, reminiscent of high grade Vietnamese.

The oil then takes me in the direction of what I would perceive as a high quality Borneo, the darker variety not like white kinam but maybe Sultan Mehmet or Ertugrul. I also get a really nice blast of cardamom which adds another facet and gives balance to the sweetness.

Smell deeper and you get a blue quality reminiscent of a Sri Lankan, smell a bit deeper you’ll maybe feel a smidge of the jungles of Papua.

I’ll have to pick up another gram of this at some point.

10/10 from @Ensar Oud
