Sultans Succor. I just put up a mini review in the Reviews section. This oil is a tour de force from a Taha. Forget the pretty top notes layered on more top notes. This thing is a beast of an oil but with immense class and manners. Man 'o man this one is amazing. Major bummer it is all gone!!!!
It did sell out quick! Ensar's "Xiang Liao Ling" though is a superb Maroke with a rather similar scent profile - I think of XLL and Sultan's Succor as brothers..

I just put on a small sample of the beautiful Sultan Sufyan just before going to sleep. I didn't get a chance to get a full bottle (even though Sidi Ensar recommended to me this one by name) which I regret now very much due to financial restraints. So many notes in this one. One of the best notes that I like about this is the Agarwood chips fragrance my gosh. It's like the best agarwood chips from Sumatra are cooked with some added potion of so many earthy fruits and delivered to you in a magical bottle. Wickedly awesome!!

I stumbled upon my sample of Sultan Afnan last night, just smelling it from the stick Screams! "Artisanal to the Max". Makes me want to try Sultan Ahmet. I'm in the Soft Drink Industry, and all the rain we're having in California lately is cutting into my overtime at work. That's a loss of a few bottles of Oud:( Can't wait till summer:D

I met up with @Oud Learner today and sampled sundry oils, among them Oud Royale No 1.

A swipe of Sultan Ahmet confirmed my hunch that it is a superior oil. [emoji851]

Holy Guacamole! You can't be showing pictures like these Sidi Ensar! A perfect display of oils and they are all numbered out! How is the oil numbered at A999?:eek::D

Today I put on the Hainan 2005. Even though it's a sample vial, I keep it safely tucked in as this is, some of the finest Oudh oil available on the market and have to value the smallest amount possible.
One of my favs! And i need just a drop. A full swipe usually sends me to the couch, lol ... wimp that i am .... can't wait for my next session with H05! Your lucky nose! :)

Got some samples from Taha which I am giving a go today. Kalyani is one of the no barn Hindi oils. Think Yoshi and Assam 3000 and you are in the ballpark. I LOVE the traditional barny Ouds but these clean smelling Hindi's are also awesome. Extremely nice oil done right. Has just the right combo of tangy, sweet and spice.

Night swipe: Jing Shen Lu......again.
Very in love with this one this past week.
I'm in a holding pattern with 3 or 4 oils, trying to get to know them before I focus on another trio.
Took the day off today to relax, and began the morning with Oudh Yusuf. Had a wonderful music practice, like Oudh Yusuf; uplifting yet tranquil.

Sounds good. Really regret not getting that maroke!

I tried a beautiful experiment. I first lit up coal to burn the newly aquired sinking grade wild Sri Lanka agarwood chips from Adam. I dropped a few small pieces on the coal. What a beautiful Aroma it gave off. I inhaled, my beard inhaled, and my clothes inhaled. After that I took out the beautiful Oud Dhul Q and put some of that on. Oh my! Topped off again with the Sri Lankan chips again. The result was mouth watering and jaw dropping Aroma which everyone should experience.

I put on a swipe of Tigerwood 1995 right before saying my sunset prayers. During prayer, I was convinced I was catching whiffs of OR1! I think I'm losing it.....
Ahhhhhh the meditation Oud. I have been saying it since the day I got it, it might be one of the best oils to use before any religious actions!!!
