I like that oud quite a bit myself - nice earthy and dark fruit qualities - rather confusing though since it smells to me like a Thai or Cambodian oil - I don't get any similarities between Rakhawah and any other Borneos in terms of scent profile..
Yes exactly hahah.... not close to any borneo I've ever tried and that's what I like most. It smells like a Cambodian and Vietnamese mix for me. So so nice.

So fascinating that oud from the same place can smell so different

I also have a sample of Rakhwah and never thought that this can be a Borneo. The first thing that hit me with Rakhwah was coming out of a leather factory. I have been to many places overseas and happened to buy some leather jackets. The first scent took me right back to those shops. To my limited ability to distinguish Borneo, I thought that Borneos have a staple signature but I guess I am still learning and I am happy to learn!

Last night I had to attend a wedding reception (not mine) :) and decided to go with the beautiful incense Oudh. Ahh the Dhul Q called and I applied this Oudh. This is the 2nd time I wore it in a public gathering where someone said, wow you smell really good. I reminded myself saying well it's not for everyone rather for me and I applied my nose to the spot I put it a small swipe. Descriptions have been given and don't need to comment any further on this Oudh. It's a awesome Oudh and a all rounder!

Today I applied the beautiful Asaam Organic. Ahhhhh what a beautiful Hindi Oudh the thought came. The opening of this Oudh reminded me of my Asaam Kinam but on a lighter note. The barn is there but yet it's so beautiful and smooth! I am getting hints of spicy ginger tea as Sidi Ensar stated! I am getting some nice I mean super nice Aroma of the wood mixed with some lemonish taste. Ahhhh it's so yummy. Overall this Oudh is a no brainer to get if you have not ventured off into the Indian Oudh world. If you have ventured, do yourself a favor and still get it. Thank you Sidi Ensar for giving us another chance to smell one of your beautiful Oudh oils.

Kesiro, interesting that you went with Ambra as I wore a little this weekend, I hadn't in some time.

Today Beccariana by Taha. Super unique single species Borneo whose drydown is heavenly now even 10+ hours in. Almost sandalwoodish.

I wore TWR yesterday.
Clean beautiful perfume.
The Twist......this distill is not an easy task, an expert was at the pots....for sure;)
Really it is quite lovely, I was wondering what all the fuss was about, reading peoples comparisons between TR and TW95. I got mine a couple weeks back and it's been a nice addition in my collection, I'm trying not to use it as to not run out of it :( While everyone else buys backup bottleso_O, I'll set aside 1 gram for the far future.

Archipelago is giving the OM5 a break for surgery day today.
Just got my favorite text! DHL delivery today: Chugoku Senko going to be in 'da house!!!
I've only half a bottle of Archipelago & half of a OM5. OM5 is already oxidized. Would be able to buy again at the end of this year ... :(

SOTD was Port Moresby. Enjoyed it a LOT.
