Today I put on the beautiful Borneo 2000. Simply an awesome all rounder Borneo Oudh!
Borneo 2000 _ one of the most favorite Borneo of mine. Only 1 full bottle left & I use it very sparingly. A real uplifting oud for me. When wear it _ I feel like I've reached a deepest core of a jungle after rain. I found an old broken tomb. I found a rusted iron chest in it & break it. Then i get an ancient leather bounded parchment. I close my eyes & smell it ... aaauuuooohhhhh ... with all of the jungle fragrances after rain ... moss ... old leather binding ... old parchment ... all together _ it's a true relaxation for the soul. A true uplift for the inner self !

Saint my friend, we must be living on the same astral plane. Seems like we chose the same oils most of the time.
(* Even though you have a much bigger collection than mine ... not to mention that I wore XLL right after reading your post ... )

Indeed ! Some darker mysterious fragrances which I admit are to die for... such as Port Moresby/Kinamantan/Sultan Afnan/Aku Akira/Green Papua/XLL. I regret I ought to buy 2 full bottles of XLL instead of 4 TR. I've to buy at least 3 bottles of it. It's a true satisfaction. Xiang Liao Ling. Worth every penny.

No regrets Br! XXL is sure a beauty and worth to have a bottle or 2 but the TR isn't a joke. You sir are very fortunate that you were able to get a tola of the TR! I think I would want a bottle of each also but will have to wait and see..

Borneo 2000 is stellar - so fresh and clean woody.. Bois de Borneo, a sister distillationto Borneo 2000, was my first ever oud - started the whole thing.. Borneo 2000 is a finer version of Bois de Borneo, and gives me nostalgia every time I wear it..
Never had a chance to smell Bois de Borneo but if you say the Borneo 2000 is a finer version of the BDB then I think you made my day!

Not only that _ it has the 'most uplifting capability' among all Borneos I have. I have couple of full bottles of Borneo 50k/Borneo 5000/Borneo 2000/Archipelago. Each & everyone has it's own beauty. 50k is the most beautiful one. But Borneo 2000 has the strongest uplifting quality... & does it 'Instantly' !

Ahh. Glad Mr Borneo Diesel is getting some real play here. It isn't talked about enough, and some of that is my fault. I don't wear a ton of Borneo oils anymore, but this is one I absolutely should. The topnotes are surreal. I talked about it in the past as psychedelic, alien, incredibly heady. Truthfully it is beautiful. It does resemble Kyara de Kalbar, I would also go so far as to say it also resembles the immaculate Brunei Kinam. With that, I think they all have some basic similar DNA, the three are in no way interchangeable.

Today I burned some Vietnamese agarwood chips topped with the beautiful Oudh Dhul Q. Once the dust settles if the Oud wood, the oil kicked in and didn't disappoint as always. Simply an awesome super high incense grade Oudh.
I put some on a friend and after a few mins, he says to me this is the best Oudh, I have ever smelled. Welcome to EnsarOud I told him. :D

All the talk of Borneo Diesel..I fueled up today. Man, this is nice stuff. Crazy vibrant opening, seriously will knock your socks off. But the base is much better than I remembered as well. Very very nice Borneo.

Also went with a swipe of ASO's Al Malek Al Maliyzi. A Malaysian which smells like a bit of a fusion of Kynam Emerald and Tigerwood 1995. Nice stuff.

Adam's Ko Do Extreme is up today. This was one of his Gaharu member only deals a while back. I liked it from the get go and for the money it was crazy good, but this oil just continues to get better and better. It initially had a little awkward bitterness but that is long gone. It is a dark resinous sweet camphorous scent that I just love. No tutti frutti Thai stuff. Thanks so much for putting out oils like this Adam! Can't wait for the Chinese!

Today I put on the one and only Oud Mustafa 5. This Oud has a very special place in my heart. So much aroma with such depth. I am fortunate to have this beautiful Oudh in my collection.
Brother Kool, did you take part in the Oud Mostafa Experiment?
If you did, I'd be curious to know your thoughts, seeing as you treasure this one so much.

No I didn't get a chance to take part in the Mustafa experiment! Although I did get a chance to smell them once, maybe my nose wasn't use to distinguishing them apart as it was very difficult for me to do at that time. I think it might be a different scenario now. :)

Nice Koool!!

I was reaching for OM5, but I'm going to the Shopping Mall with my Wife and Son, I didn't want to get caught in public constantly sniffing my hand:oops:

So I decided to go with the ethereal Muana Ltd:rolleyes:
I am going to the store with my family and just put some more of it on. I don't care if people look at me because they don't know what they are missing! :D:cool:
