Me too koolaid79, me too!

Long day today so I'm going with Sultan Mustafa, truly one of the most beautiful oils around. I'm a little lost for words each time I wear it.
Where did you get Sultan Mustafa from? Is it by Ensar? Could you give us some description about it?

Absolutely. Yes. Sultan Mustafa by Ensar. Super nice New Guinea/Brunei blend with high-grade agarwood from each. It has the most amazingly sweet, blue-green resin. There are some sweet berry as well as oceanic notes here as well, from the Brunei and New Guinea wood respectively. This heavenly rich medley is intense and lasts forever.

That sounds like an amazing oil bhanny. Your description describes scents that I really love.

If you don't mind me asking how much the Sultan Mustafa was for?
Hey koolaid79, don't mind at all, but generally I prefer discussing money related things off the boards if possible. I've ran into issues on other sites, not that that would be the case here, but if you don't mind, send me a PM.

Tigerwood 1995 today. Such a beautiful, classic oudy, oil that dries down slightly to one of the best dark, incense note.
Totally sg1011. Best value around. Really classic oud and what a drydown!!!

I went with Kyara de Kalbar today. Beautiful Brunei, definitely strong top notes with sweet and sour fruits, mild lovely florals. Super nice Brunean incense. Some nice bitter kinam. Love it.

Kyara de Kalbar sounds like a well rounded oil. I missed out on this one.

Today, it it the great Yoshi. There is just something about this oil that speaks to me. A combination of cherry, honey, sour fruits, very smooth incense. It is a complete package for me. Originally I got this as a sample but could not hold back on getting a full bottle.;)

I saw Oud Yoshi as part of the set and asked Ensar and Adam if it was available separately. It's another excellent blind buy for me as I had not sampled it. At the time I got it I had been wearing some strongly barn oils and found Yoshi to be floral in comparison. On subsequent wears I found that those florals were different, if floral at all. One of the comments on the page for the set mentioned that there was some myrrh like notes and I agree. What I had labeled as floral was more of a vibrant, bright, nearly aldehydic myrrh note reminiscent of that note in one of my favorite perfumes, Serge Lutens La Myrrhe. In the middle it becomes darker with dark, dry cherry and resinous wood notes. Although Oud Yoshi is from Manipur at that stage it reminds me more of Bhutanese oils like Muana Supreme.

Definitely agree with you about Yoshi. The floral is not the same as for instance in Oud Yusuf. It is more of a bright note as opposed to a sweet note. It develops and grows more darker and incensy. The cherry notes become more prominent and then it dries down to a beautiful sweet wood scent. A very sophisticated oud which is more perfume like than most.
