First experience of Agar Aura Oud.

AA: Ceylon No°1

Annoyingly the sample that was sent by a contact in another forum smashed en route, but a strong cloud persisted in the bubble wrap as well as a tiny amount of residue and it was glorious!

Not enough to fairly review, sadly, so I will have to wait until the mid point of march to do it justice as well as the other samples to which I am now even more looking forward to.

Today was feel-oud day for yours truly. Tawau and Borneo fera. All these oils are aging so nicely. They were nice when I got them but are becoming much more rounder and coherent. Really great values here. Thanks Adam!

Tonight on the way to the gym, it is Mostafa No.5. I have said it before and I will say it again: this oil is relatively cheap in cost compared to many of my other oils but is a benchmark oud for me. P/Q ratio is off the scale for me. Can't live without this stuff.

Amen to that! I don't i can be sane without the beautiful Oud Mustafa 5 either. A very special oil for me as it was none other than OM5 which awoke my passion for Oud again which had been dormant for 7 years..

Oud Dhul Q for me again today. Love the feeling of burning some new trat agarwood chips Br Adam just scent. Finish fumigating my clothes with the beautiful smoke of that agarwood and then a nice drop of the Dhul Q to cherry it off. Ohhh La La is what I am singing now.
That sounds Gravitatingly good! When I'm out and about, and catch a whiff of that strong synthetic that some colognes use, I feel repelled. Whoever walks beside you today should be amazed:)

Eerily quiet here.

Earlier I sampled a couple clean/green Chinese. Fragrant Harbor by IO and Ceen by ASO. They are very similar. FH is a cultivated sinensis, reportedly from trees originally from the Hong Kong area. Ceen a wild Hainan sinensis, per report. As I said, similar for the most part. Mostly green, bittersweet, I guess more along the Burmese type of sinensis, though much more depth IMO. They are both nice.

Tonight, two Malaysian masterpieces. The great Oud Sultani and Kannan Koh. The pure beauty of these never fails to leave me a bit speechless. Sultani is thicker, richer and a decade older. KK has a little of that amazing vibe seen in Purple Kinam and Berkilau. Both have that resin-of-my-dreams that I almost couldn't believe was real when I started this journey.
