Awesome looking wood guys! I'm sure they smell many times better than how it looks!

Arabian Oud's wood -KLCC Branch (the staff said it was cambodi) but they were more like shining chunks of wood from some other tree when compared to what you guys showed here.

@Ensar that carving grade Maroke and Brunei Kinam look amazing!! Oh if I had a sliver of each of those I'd be glued to my burner for days! Slowwwwly heating them and pulling every last aromatic note out.

I have been burning a lot of wood lately. Really taking my time with each piece.

@Ensar I wonder what other treasures you have in your underground gaharu vault! I'm guessing they're sinking?

@Ensar Sinking or not, such pictures are always welcome ! Maybe a surprise gift to a lucky poster on this thread would be nice. 51st post would be a good idea. Heheh.

Keep digging up your vault please. Awesome pictures like these are always a healthy distraction from the negatives. :)

Some sinking wood pics coming soon from my phone.. (Taha's wood stock)

Hey now, I was thinking more of a member whose handle begins with a 'b', ends with a 'y' and has 'hann' in the middle.:p

Wow that is a beautiful chunk of Vietnamese wood. Also how is the scent profile on the Sri Lankan bangle?

Hey @John! Welcome to Gaharu! :)

The bangle smells like classic Walla Patta agarwood. Dense lime rind and zesty frangipani and bluegreen agar fumes.

HAHA nice. That sounds quite enjoyable as well as aesthetically beautiful as a piece of art.

Excuse me for asking but can someone explain to me what the Walla Patta means when they mention Sri Lankan agarwood? Sorry for being a little unfamiliar with this but I wanted to learn.

    koolaid79,

I am only a student when it comes to these woods but i believe it is just as saying Crassna or Sinesis or malaccensis when saying Aquilaria and for Gyrinops the walla is part of that family. I am not sure if you meant it in this way or looking for a deeper meaning?
