Sure! I had a bottle of Kynam No 1 on hold as I was gocan by to add more to that order and wanted to save on shipping. I added a bottle of Tigerwood 1995, sample of Oud Ahmad, and a sample of Xiang Liao Ling. Of course, the day Adam shipped it out, Thomas sent out the email with Tigerwood Royale. Royale is seriously a no brainer. I seriously have yet to be disappointed with anything that I've bought from Ensar and since I'm not into a single source of Oud (for example Vietnamese) I'm confident that anything I buy will be of the best quality. Ensars oils have real soul to them.
Fantastic haul there!!! And agree with you and the others, awesome oils top to bottom, bottom to top. And they most definitely have soul. I'm sure you and the others are tired of hearing it from me, but man, well done on the Kynam No1.

Thanks everyone! I've been anxiously waitinging for Kynam No 1. The wait is over...well almost! I'll be sure to give my thoughts in the Kynam No 1 thread.

On another note, Yoshi was my SOTD. I had the day off, so I picked up my wife from work in crazy downtown Chicago. As soon as she opened the car door, she said "what smells so fruity in here?" This confirms that this really is a fruity/dark cherry/woody oil.

So sorry if i have missed it, but has anyone reviewed on Ensar Xiang Liao Ling yet? I wonder if it has a damp and wet scent profile.

Many thanks!
I think most of us are in the same boat as you are; waiting for someone to review it. Unless I missed it, I have not seen anyone here give a review.

Today it is the fantastic Hainan 2005. This is such a complex and exciting oil. So distinctly different in profile, it is an experience to wear. It starts with this sour, somewhat musky and sweet scent and slowly develops in many directions with kinam wafts that come and go, teasing you to keep going back to your wrist constantly.

@bhanny: Thank you for your reply and the detailed information.
I have yet to make up my mind which of these I want.
And out of the window goes my firm intent to stop buying oils...

I guess towards the end of this month, beginning of December, we will see an entire thread dedicated to Tigerwod royale ;-))

Ha! I'm sure!

Here's a little more detailed info.

Borneo Diesel - Super fragrant and heady, futuristic, beautiful and colorful diesel fuel. It then dries down to a nice, more woody Borneo.

Sultan Mustafa - Just the most amazing, sweet, blue-green, berried incense with a lovely oceanic vibe. Brunei/New Guinea co-distillation. Seriously beautiful.

Sultan Beyazit - Take Mustafa, minus the berried sweetness. A little darker, but smooth. Pure New Guinea.

Sultan Suleyman - Another gorgeous incense bomb. This one a New Guinea/Malysian co-distillation. Definitely get some Malay in the drydown and the incense is amazing. This one is really new, but I may get a streak of purple, I need to listen more.

Sultan Abdul Hamit - Smouldering agarwood seaside. Just amazing. New Guinea/Borneo.

Kambodi 1976 - Such a deep and amazing oil. Rich, red, medicinal.

Kannan Koh - A rich, heavily resinated oil along the lines of Sultani.

All of these are unreal

Ensar Oud's Pursat 2005

e·the·re·al
əˈTHirēəl/
adjective
1. extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world.
"her ethereal beauty".
synonyms: delicate, exquisite, dainty, elegant, graceful.

Ethereal, not light but rather seeming too perfect for this world, certainly not as simple as breaking it down by notes. Pursat 2005 is creamy, not like berries and cream or anything remotely dairy. Not the creaminess of certain notes in sandalwood but rather the creaminess of Frank Sinatra's voice; thick, rich and smooth. Pursat 2005 takes a while to open up on the skin but when it does has good projection and sillage. As far as longevity, it clearly lasted through ghusl.

Well written my friend. Sounds amazing.

Hello everybody! It has been a bit since I last posted on here. I see people are asking about Xiang Liao Ling. Here are my thoughts on Xiang Liao Ling.

Xiang Liao Ling is a wonderful Maroke. Upon swiping this hypnotic oil I am greeted with notes of dark oudy smokiness, and toasted marshmallow. As the top notes quiet down, a midnight breeze blows in carrying a fresh minty note with a dark side. That dark side is what keeps me grabbing Xiang Liao Ling for swipe after swipe! It is like being in a dank earthen wine cellar eternally fumigated by stick after stick of fine Japanese incense. So dark, wet and incensey! On the Maroke spectrum I'd say it falls between Maroke Muah and Maroke LTD.

It is wet and damp, but I wouldn't say that is the overwhelming theme. It to me is all about that incensey dry down, super oudy top notes, with a fresh minty damp middle, then you ride that Japanese incense dry down into olfactory bliss! Take all this with a grain of salt though, as I am a Maroke fanatic lol!
